New owner in Oregon.
Hey guys, just bought my cobalt ss/sc about two weeks ago. I've already replaced the ECM and going in for the recall for the CAT Monday. She sat for nearly two years with the previous owner, so I'm doing a full flush.
The rims have some bubbling/flaking. So, I was thinking about plasti-dipping them black. What do you guys think?

Welcome to the forums, you will find alot of useful info on here, and a little not so useful. The sight is a great resource for making changes to your ride. Nice car, i like the stripes, there are probably several red cars with black wheels on here, have a look, then you can see what it will look like with the wheels before you do it.

Really? You like the thin spokes better? I'm a huge fan of the wide spoked rims. I'm thinking that I want to go all black and white with my Balt. White/Black never fails to catch my eye.

Nice haha. What'd you go with to lower it? I was thinking about slamming it with some new coilovers. But, there are so many speed bumbs and crap around here that I already scrape on. Though ill be looking to do some pretty hefty mods when I can, it'll still be my DD.

just some cheap tenzo r springs I got off a member for 50 shipped on stock struts and shocks! couldn't be happier! I usually don't scrape, but then I have people give me the finger for going slow around pot holes and speed bumps. and if your going to do just springs. I heard on here that SSC or CM springs are the best, and that they ride like stock.

haha i think theres some used sportlines up for sale on here. with plasti dip i did a set of wheels, and it lays down like ****! but if you do plastidip id get the plastidip clear, that way its not flat black. but i think you should just wait till you sandblast and paint, cause plastidip isnt cheap, 7 dollars a can!
