Newbie 2010 LNF Needs HELP 🚩

Hello!

I’m new to the forums!

I’m the second owner of my Cobalt, I got it at 73k miles and now has a ground total of 75k so not much fun has been had. I’ve done some upgrades from ZZP listed:

Mods List
  1. Oversized Aluminum Radiator
  2. ZZP K04 Turbo (old turbo was bad)
  3. ZZP LNF Stainless Downpipe
  4. ZZP LNF Intercooler Package
  5. ZZP 3.25” LNF Fenderwell Cold Air Intake
  6. 3 inch Catback Stainless Steel Exhaust Cobalt LNF
  7. GM MAF Sensor
  8. GM Stage 1 Sensors

After getting a mechanic to install the new radiator because the old one was cracked on the end tank, I still had overheating issues. The mechanic wouldn’t do a leak test but instead dropped a clotting tablet in the coolant tank after insisting it would do NO harm. I had a bad feeling. I now get this noise once the car gets around 195-200 degrees Fahrenheit when I didn’t get it prior to the clotting tablet. I’ll link the video.

Also I never got to finish sending files back and forth to ZZP for tuning because of this issue!

I'm sorry to hear about your issues. How fast does the engine heat up? Hopefully it is something as easy as a waterpump or thermostat.

Also take a look at the coolant expansion hose and fitting at the front of the engine by #1 cyl. Make sure the junk they put in didn't plug that hose
