So I have owned a cobalt since 2010, I bought an 08 special Edition little 5speed, was a great car to me. Had 42k on it and I Traded it in with 95k. I was at a local shopping center last month, and when I was leaving the parking lot, I saw a black SS TC at a dealership. Of course I had to check it out, maybe go for a spin in it if I felt like talking to the dealer. Well After some talking (brother was with me) we went for a joy ride and I LOVED IT. As I said its a 2008 SS TC with only 41,000 miles!!!!! Really low for an 08. The thing is 100% stock never modded and best of all. ONE OWNER. So it hast lost its innocence yet lol. I traded in my old balt after stripping off every last part I Could- retros, coilovers, wheels, sound system, even my yellow top battery. Dealer gave me such a great trade in for my car I couldn't refuse, and I got the SS for a good deal too. First time ive ever walked into the dealership and signed papers, but I knew what I wanted.
So now I am the proud owner of a 2008 SS TC. I have parts for it already, but am storing it over the winter as I drive a company car. I have an intake, DP, rear sway bar, and hopefully Rotated mounts ordered in addition to the retros, and coilovers. I cant wait for spring to put all this on and get a tune. This thing is gonna be a beast! Anyways, just wanted to share my story.

edit* Dealer took my car with painted interior (**** job) and the Air bag light, and TPMS light were on!

 

What did they give you for your old one and what did you pay for the 08?

Where at exactly? All the cool cats are in SW Ohio

 

5200 for old one- because I threw in a brand new set of blizzak ws80 winter tires (450$ tires) and I Paid 10k for the new SS plus tax title yadda yadda. Forgot to mention car has all the goodies- sunroof, and g85 package. So all in all I think I owe 6k for the new SS. Will pay that off in a year lol!
