Newly Purchased SS/SC

Hey guys, just a few days ago I purchased a 2005 Cobalt SS/SC G85 with 86,000 miles. It came with an AEM intake, 2.5" ZZP catback exhaust, and is sitting on Eibach Sportlines. So far I really like the car and am excited to become a part of the community here. There are some minor issues I would like to address for the car, but I am sure with all of your help I can get it all taken care of.

Sounds like the car has been lightly, albeit tastefully modded

Post your issue so therapy can commence

Thanks guys! I think most of my issues are pretty standard. For one, my sunroof raises but does not go back, not sure if I am willing to drop the cash I believe will be necessary to fix that as of now. Also, as it seems everyone has dealt with the plastic around the sunroof switch is loose and falls out easily, but before I fix that and make that stay, my sunroof control switch itself is very loose so when I push on it the button actually retreats almost another inch. I know there is likely something on those issues if I use the search bar. Lastly the key fob for the car was lost and so if I use the lock button and unlock with the key it sounds the alarm every time. A new fob and reprogram is a little expensive but I do have an extra key fab from my 2000 grand am and am curious if that could be programmed to work on the cobalt. If you know please share, otherwise I may just contact and ask the dealer. Thanks!

I have indeed tried that. I found a small piece of broken plastic on one side of the sunroof track. After I removed that it was able to roll back about another inch. Can't find anything else obstructing its path.

Small odds, but i took the glass off of mine and actually found a rock stuck in there. It was the exact same symptoms as everybody else had, but it worked after i found it and regreased the tracks.
I dunno about the grand am key, but you can pick one up off of ebay for a few bucks for our cars and then get it programmed just the same.

Welcome.

How difficult is it to take the glass off? And thanks for the ebay tip, that seems like the way to go!
