Through a rod out of bottom end of my chevy cobalt SS

I bought a 2006 cobalt maybe a month ago and had it a week was running way to damn fast and seriously knocked a hole in bottom end of block and a rod fell out on road ummm how does this happen??? Well looking for a motor now!!

Did you check to make sure there was oil in it?

These cars are getting older and guys are picking them up and beating them without any sort of maintenance.

Most of the time they're for sale due to issues the seller doesn't want to fix.

I don’t see how that happens unless there was something sersiously wrong with that before you bought it.

It’s not common to throw a rod. Something had to be wrong with it prior

Ouch that sucks. There's a few engines for sale at the moment. I picked 1 up relatively cheap. If your near NJ I can def help
