Too old? That’s the best you’ve got?

Another chapter in the long story! Proceed with caution. So after meeting the car and the surgeon who revived it, I paid full price despite many easy paths to a beat-down. This turns from facts to second hand info, and I apologize in advance for any inaccuracies. The original
owner was 75 when he purchased it brand new. His family expressed their concerns, mostly that he was too old. He drove it for five years in northern Michigan, and then no longer could drive. A grandson purchased all the upgrades, zzp, hurst shifter, intakes, etc and the car never ran after he put it back together, so it sat in a garage for a couple of years. The kid I bought it from finally agreed to take a look at the car for his stepdads friend, and he nearly fell
to the floor when he saw it as well. He had been a mechanic at a Chevy dealer and thought he would buy it for his fiancée. She did not like it and could not drive it, so he decided to sell it and make a few bucks. Very fitting that the original
owner was “too old,” because that’s exactly what my son said to me when he asked if he could buy it. I’ll take “too old” over “too stupid” eight days a week!
