Hello everyone.

My name is SA Stevenson. I'm currently stationed in Pensacola FL for a Temporary Duty Assignment. I'm in the United States Navy and I purchased a Chevy Cobalt SS turbo here in the local area.

My list of cars goes way back, but this is the first cobalt I've owned.

I've had a 2008 gt500, a 2012 gt 5.0, a 2011 STi, a few ls1s, a vr4, an rsx-s, the list goes on.

I hopefully want to meet more cobalt owners in the Pensacola Florida area.

My car is an 08 Cobalt SS, rally yellow with black leather interior. I love it so far. It's bone stock.

Currently all it needs is a front splitter (probably going with black instead of yellow, if you have one for sale I'm very interested)

Also if anyone knows why my key doesn't always want to turn the first time in the ignition that would be awesome too haha.

Hey guys I've been busy all week. It's nice to be welcomed aboard the site. I don't really have plans for this car except to drive and enjoy it I'm going to do the sound system though and get a new front splitter and maybe an intake and tune but that's about it. I'm wondering about some small stuff. I have a slight transmission whine in the low rpms of 4th and 5th gear, my friends lsj does that and it only has 40k on it. Is it normal? transmission shifts well. Also sometimes it gets really hard to turn my key and I have to turn it around and put it back in and jiggle it and stuff in order to get it to turn. Anyway to fix this?

and get a tune and a downpipe. we dont have emissions anyways and that is most beneficial and cost effective

as mentioned above, do the ignition cylinder replacement. they are a crappy design and will fail.. usually when they are in the run position.

 

Yeah, there is a meet downtown at the bay front. If you drive all the way to the end of palafox street, I believe, there will be a parking lot on the left. It's every sat. night at 9.
And there's one at the crab trap parking lot on okaloosa island every tues around 9 pm as well. Those on 850.com can probably supply better directions lol.
