dbz-That sounds normal, your tip will get hot enough to make the water sizzle, on my car it does the same with the stock exhaust.

So this is an easy install to do myself? No welding required? Just cut off the stock exhaust and bolt on the Megan?

I'm just debating on this vs. a custom exhaust with Magnaflow muffler.

It should be a direct bolt on, i believe when they talk about cutting the exhaust that is to remove it.

you can cut it but you do not have to. you can lower the rear axle and take off the shock/ strut on one side and slide it out i do believe. i will be checking my finances today and if I can afford it expect another order tonight

yup you have to cut the stock exhaust right before the rear axle to get it off.. then its a direct bolt on

so you do not think by lowering the rear axle your would be able to just slide it out?

I think it'd be easier to cut it than to lower the rear axle, right? But then again, I'd want to keep the stock exhaust in good shape to put it back on when I sell the car.

are you talking without cutting it? or what?

You should beable to pull it right out past the rear axle (the muffler ect will come out the back) and then everything infront of the axle you unbolt and it comes down

Then you weld your stock one back together when you sell your car youll be fine if you use a saw zaw or even exhuast cutter

As mentioned somewhere in the thread you don't have to cut it if you drop the rear axle. If you don't want to go through all of that you will have to cut it just in front of the axle. I had to do the same thing with my GA GT when I put the Borla on.

After that everything will bolt up nice and neat. I believe I'm going to have to give in and buy one of the exhausts.......

Dropping the exhaust was to much of a pain in my eyes.. I ended up just cutting it.. Plus if you drop the axle you have to undo some brake hoses..
