you would need a V8. from your title i'm assuming you have a LS.

seriously, don't waste your time. by the time you're done, may as well just build the **** out of the engine and have that power all the time... not just when you push the button.

nobody pushes a button for nitrous

you have to build your motor regardless of the level of Ecotec you have...

the crank will be fine but you will need pistons & rods and of course a direct port setup...

ok, i'm not one of these F&F ricers... but let's think about this... when you activate the WOT switch, what's happening? you're telling me you're not pushing a button? yea, maybe it's not in your hand, but you're still pushing a button. give me a break.

Maybe he want's a 30+mpg car that will run with the v8s - at the flip of a switch.

Everyone has different goals. Plus that a built engine (forged pistons, rods and a little port work and a mild cam), when not on the juice is extremely reliable - an important consideration for a daily driver. Granted, driveline supporting mods are a must too.

If gas mileage was not important to me I'd have a v8, but it is, so I don't.

It's easier to build a 12sec 4cyl (at the track) that averages 30+mpg on the street, than it is to build a 30+mpg, 12sec. v8!

That would be one bad ass 2.2 if you had 150 shot.

yea i mean theres not problem if u wanted to set up ur nitrous to spray only at a push at a buttom its rather easy to set up like that too, but its kinda alil more dangerous but hey i like the whole idea its how u want it, also its cause about 4 years ago every Nitrous system came out wit a push buttom..

You could always use a WOT switch, a window switch and a push button (pickle button) - in lieu of an arming switch. That way you would have ultimate control of just spraying when you absolutely had to, ie. losing.

well i was thinking about an story i read about the aem rsx-s that had a 100 shot and thought it would be cool, but why stop at 100, when the same build could suport a 150. i mean nothing like doubling your hourse power at "the push of a butten." yeah it would be expensive, no it wouldn't be there all the time, but with a suporting top end, and of course a direct set up, the car would be badass. hands down, and yes it may be a waste of time but it would be cheeper then a turbo build. more then likely it'll never happen, but i was just wondering if the block and crank would take it.

I think you'd need to replace the tranny, clutch, all front end bushings to polyurethane, and you'd need a OH **** HELMET!

Ahaha,
Ryan
