Question 35shot on stage 2 and some

what i have is a wet 35 shot that i want to put on my car...i have stage 2 tune,2.8 or 2.9, 42s, cobra h/e, k&n cai, 1 step cooler plugs, catless 2.5 downpipe, bad mab header, and a strait though muffler...i will be getting a new catback very soon...


would it be safe to run???

well the kit i got came with a 35 so i was just going to start with that...its a 36/n and 22/f...

LOL @ me being the fourms nitrous referece.

37/22 is a 50 shot according to Holley sizing. 46/30 is a 100 shot. About halfway in between is a 75, so about 41/25 or so. Our fuel jetting is a little lower than normal, since our fuel pressure is higher than what they spec it for, by almost 50%. I ran a 40/22 and had no problems.

IJS... I haven't even owned a cobalt for 2 years, and I still get questions about my nitrous setup

does it matter if i have a nx kit??? so the jet sizes i have now are 50 or real close to it???

Not a ton, 15-20 more hp. The cooling effect is what makes the nitrous so nice on these cars. Fine-tune the smaller shot, you can gain more usable, safe power, than just hitting it with more spray.

damn it hits good but only got like 3 passes and my clutch dosent hold to good anymore...lol...now im going to need a new clutch and cant wait till i can run it again...

Yeah, the clutch will not take abuse on bottle. You gotta drive it nice on a daily basis, and be completely off the clutch before you hit the bottle. I kept a stock clutch making nearly 350hp to the wheels, but I had to treat it nice or it would slip.

Go on the Zex website, they have a graph there that tells you what jets you need for what size shot for a 4cyl, V6 and V8. Also i called and asked what jets i need for my engine, V10's are the same as V8's. 4 and 6 r the same, 8 and 10s are the same...lol.

i dont hit it till 4500ish rpm...what clutch would you recommend me getting??? would i just change the clutch or the flywheel and all too???

You can use a spec 2+ or 3+ with a new stock flywheel, or get a lightweight to go with it. The Exedy hyper single is awesome if you have the money and want a serious clutch, it just seems that you have to have good luck with them, as a lot of people have had issues, but the ones i've installed have been perfect. Depends on how stiff of a clutch you want on a daily basis and how bad you drive.
