I need help.
I need help.
I have completely installed my zex kit with window switch and purge kit. when i turn on the arming switch the fuel/n2o module starts clicking. it will click like 20 times then shut off. it doesnt sound right. and sometimes it wont come on at all. HELP. I wanna spray this weekend. this is on a 2.0 s/c engine
Did you program it correctly, and did you hook it to the correct wire on the etc harness. To prgram the zex box, with the car on.......not running.......turn the system on, via the arming switch, go to the control box and push the button on the side, it will turn red. Quick go inside and push the pedal to the floor(gas.....not brake or clutch) After approximately 10 to 15 seconds let off of the pedal and walk out to the box, the light should be flashing red and green. Go back inside, turn the system off via the arming switch, then turn it back on. Push the gas pedal to the floor and you should hear the solenoinds open, when you let off they should close.
If that does not solve the problem.....with a voltmeter, back probe the wire that you have the system attached to . With the car on.....not running.....the voltage should read approximately 1.2-1.6 volts. When you push the gas pedal to the floor the voltage will rise to approximately 4.2-4.6 volts. If it does do this, you have tapped into the correct wire. If it does not, you will have to find the correct one. On our cars it is usually the purple one. Usually......Let me know if this was helpful or not. My only other suggestion if that does not correct the problem, is to contact zex via the 800 number and set up a warranty service exchange. Usually they will send you a box or just fed ex it to them. I just did an install a couple weeks ago and it had a faulty box. They may have had a bad run on production, also the newer generation boxes will compensate for the occasional cel light due to voltage draw on the etc.
