i have the zex kit also i havent tried to install mine yet but if you look in the link i think its post 21 that says its a purple wire coming off the throttle body, i thought i read some where you need a resister or something like that not 100% sure hopefully someone else will chime in and say exactly what ya need but that is at least the wire you need.

you will need to put a resistor on that wire to or it wont work. found out that the hard way since it wasn't in my instructions.

I have the Zex kit installed. I can confirm for you that the purple wire off the throttle body connection is the correct wire to tap into.

Have fun and good luck with your kit!

what was the "hard way", i just installed my zex wet kit and ever since i hooked up the TPS wire to the NMU i have been getting a P0507 code and the car feels like absolute poop! It is only if the car sits for a couple minutes (stop lights or whatever) then when i go to get on the gas it boggs down to the point where it almost stalls. and even when i get going it feels like its hitting fuel cut and sputters. I cant take it anymore! i tested the TPS wire and it shows .7 volts at idle and 4.2 volts at WOT.

Purple wire or green wire, they are the same except one is a rising signal and the other is a falling signal

im not using a resistor on my car and havent received any issues...

slobaltzzp3, how did you connect into that line? the problem you are having is because your TPS signal isnt being seen as matching from the pcm, because of the voltage change,

remove the throttle connector and make sure none of the pins are bent and all wires are pushed in entirely

i just removed some of the insulation on the purple wire and soldered the wire for the NMU to that. The buddy of mine that helped me run wires and stuff thought that you had to take the purple part of that connector off to remove the whole connector from the TB, Everything is set up and run threw the car and looks great! thanks blkwdoss! great deal, just have to fill the tank. i have been holding off on filling it due to snow and the whole TB issue.

the purple part? do u mean the retaining clip in the back of the connector? holds all the wire connectors snuggly into the connector? if so I would most definitely check all of the connections there

l8r,
PD

PS - you are very welcome, let me see some numbers or vids of passes once you get it going and thank you a lot, helped me out of a tight spot and got me into my tuning class this weekend

The "hard way" was me having to contact ZEX to find out why the kit wasn't working (and it took them a quite a while to figure it out) then me having to find a proper resistor...for some reason no one carries resistors in my town :p. Got it working an hour before race time

yes, tap the purple wire and I havent used that particular kit, but I would add a resistor it will definitely keep you from possibly burning up the circuits, wiring, or other pieces.
