nos on a pretty much stock ss/sc
im new to this whole nos thing, I decided I do wanna run it though. I have a 2005 cobalt ss/sc with roughly 27,000 miles on it. It has a fujita cold-air intake and I have a flowmaster super 44 muffler on it, not a cat-back, just a muffler. Thats it as far as engine mods. Is it safe to do? should I go wet or dry? What kind of hp boost am I looking at getting? and what safety items should I have to make sure I don't blow up?

get wet its a bit "safer" and you should be fine up to about 75 shot, as for safety, a WOT/window switch, blow down tube, progressive controller (if you have the money) and common sense.

to be completely safe for spraying you dif wanna get a few things.... you should get; *colder plugs
*a/f gauge
*blow down tube
*lean cut off switch (highly recommended)
*window switch (highly recommened)
* nos pressure gauge
* and bottle heater (not really needed but good to have)
*and i good seat belt
i would recommend a wet kit for sure... it decrease the chance of running lean and you should be golden wit a 50 or 75 shot ... i heard if you go more then a 75 shot you gotta retard the timing... just dont get trigger happy and itll be one awesome mod

"You almost had me? You never had me - you never had
your car... Granny shiftin' not double clutchin' like you should.
You're lucky that hundred shot of NOS didn't blow the welds
on the intake! Now me and the mad scientist gotta rip apart
the block, and replace the piston rings you fried."

if you are going in the route of Nitrous i recomend the zex 100shot wet kit specially made for four cylinder cars. You should be set with a proper tune and
*blow down tube
*lean cut off switch
*window switch
*bottle heater
* nitrous pressure gauge
and one of those cool military carbonfiber arming switches from Vatozone...youll be set
