The reason that you allways see them behind the pedal is our cars dont have a cable between the pedal and the TB, so no weres else to put it.

Only place to put it. OR use a TPS switch to mimic it.

From what i've heard and read....Yes it will. Just need to mess around with the mounting. And I guess depending on the install it may or not be visible. Its kinda hidden behind and to the side of the pedal.

agreed, especially with our setups

basically with the WOT switch you mount it under your pedal and when you push the pedal down to the floor it pushes the lever in which activates the nitrous. i personally don't want some switch sitting under the pedal, thats a little ghetto IMO.

BUT for the older ecotecs with the throttle cable its perfect since they can mount it on the TB...

otherwise I'd go TPS

I did an edit...but is the TPS switch also known as a window switch?? Just curious.

on the Zex kit the TPS is built in, its basically one wire that runs to the throttle position sensor on your TB and it can read your voltage to tell when you are wide open throttle. the TPS switch can work on any car with a TPS. Since we are throttle by wire I think its better to go with the TPS.

Just think of the WOT switch detecting your throttle position manually and the TPS switch detecting your throttle position electronically.

a window switch (which I ****** hate btw) will activate/deactivate the nitrous at a certain rpm. for instance you can set the window switch to activate the nitrous at 3000RPM and then cut the nitrous off at 6300RPM. So basically it gives you a window in which the nitrous is on.

So if you have a TPS switch AND an MSD window switch, the nitrous will come on when you are WOT and at 3K RPM and then shut off at 6300RPM.

Get it? Its not hard to understand but wiring it up together...I can't comment on that.

Ohhhhh ok that makes sense.....So it would make more sense for us to use teh TPS because we have a drive by wire throttle. Or is it easier to run the WOT switch with the window switch? lol cause i read your post lol and yeah sounds like you had a fun time hahaha. Thanks for the help though

well with the TPS switch the only thing you have to do is tap into the TPS on the throttle body

with the WOT switch you have to figure out how to mount the switch under the pedal, could be a pain in the ass but its really up to you.

with our setups I'd go TPS...

Ohh ok. So now I have more questions lol.

What brand do you recommend when getting a TPS? I already have my kit from dynotune if thats a factor....And how do you tap into the TPS on the tb? I guess what color wires would be a better question.

I would look into this for a TPS switch, its by NX
http://www.nitrousexpress.com/Pages/TPS.htm

although my kit is a little more simple than yours wiring wise, I just had to tap into the TPS wire (solid purple) on the TB and program my NMU to get it to work. but as you can see u have a little more wires to work with there, if u take a look at the installation instructions you should be able to find out what they're for.

there is a button that you press on the switch that puts it into program mode then you probably just push the pedal to the floor for 10 sec or so.

hmmm, about 4 weeks

I would say give yourself a full day to work on it if you're going to be installing the kit + any accessories...and make sure you have everything you need before you start, that will definitely cut down on time. If you start early in the morning you should be done by 5-6 or so assuming theres no hold ups. If its your first time like it was mine then yeah definitely give yourself a full day.

It didn't take long at all to install all of what I have its just missing parts + wiring issues + only being able to work on my car for small amounts of time that lengthened my install.
