Your a go for the CED meet in April right?

As for stopping...it'll be nice to be able to stop. Right now they scream when I try to come to a stop

LSD is for people who drive the car fast in more than just a straight line....

But for your everyday use on typical roads your normal differential suffices

At least my tires wear evenly. My snowtires, normal diff, and heavy ass winter steelies run circles around you. Jealousy is an ugly thing, meboy. Take your skirt off or bring your husband next time and maybe, just maybe, I'll have some real competition.

lol is that why so many people install after market lsd's? so they can take their skirts off :P lsd is for real rally racing, not "dusting" honda's at street lights :P race with the men not the rice

lol actually if you really know rally, you'd know that almost every rally car has either a welded differential or locker..there is no slip at all

lsd's are made for pavement, because lockers around corners on pavement without knowing how to drive means broken axles..

how has the cobalt ss sc done for you guys in the snow? I'll prolly get winter tires on steelies cuz i drive so much for work but i live in duluth...its hilly has hell and we get snow.

yokohama iceguard IG-20 on steelies has been friggen awesome for me this winter. I'm not a fan of how quickly they're wearing, so I'll probably only get 2 more winters out of them after this one. As far a snow and ice traction...it's night and day over the stock rosso's that I drove around with last winter. I'm lowered with the snow tires and have had zero problems this winter. Tires are just awesome for a price well south of $100 a corner installed.

hmmm, Yeah I have my vibe lowered with some conti viking ice snow tires and they have been awesome, specially when I drive to Ely. They still have snow/ice on the roads! its never warm there :P I guess my main concern is in the winter starting to go up a hill in the snow and me just spinning out because of the power. You guys ever start in 2nd? to keep the rpms low and wheel spin down.

never start in second, always in first. Never had a problem, but never driven in hillville up there.

Anyone have an aftermarket deck in their ss/sc? I'm having problems getting one wired up and need to know what harness you used. (no, the standard GM harness does not work)
