I couldn't believe that in all the years before SS Cobalts with the Monte Carlo SS that they don't have info on how to service/upgrade superchargers. Or the tools, none of them seemed to have a press to remove the stock pulley. People have said (on the forum) that a standard pulley remover will work, but I now have a broken one to prove otherwise.

I got mine installed for 2.5 hrs of labor. 350 on the nuts all said and done. I got the kit from crateenginedepot for 550, best price anywhere. 900 bucks for 40whp, i'll take it.
They told me it would be 4 to 5 hours and I told them to blow it out their ass. He came back from his manager 30 seconds later and said 2.5. Probably only took them an hour.

D-A-M-N!
$350 for 2.5 hours and just the stage2? The Cities are spendy...
Stg2, exhaust manifold, Touring exhaust = 4 hour install @ $298.10 (and a 2 hour drive from the Cities, I suppose)

hey Hoffa,
Actually, I went to Underdahl's got a quote ahead of time (straight out of their service book) and made them stick to it - it actually took them from 8:30am - 4pm (it was their first time.... isn't that special?) but I went in and sure enough, only charged for 4 hours... I went for a drive with the tech and parked in front so I had my keys - if they would've told me more, I would've just drove away and told them I'd only pay for 4 hours - not my fault its their first time - THEY are supposed to be the "certified GM techs" and if GM says 2 hours for Stg2, 1 hour for manifold & 1 hour for exhaust... then that's all I'm paying.
So, for anyone else out there - I say get a quote and get a copy of that quote. (got all stuff from Crate engine Depot also, Tom's the $hit)

Some of you guys better join me on a car tour this Sunday, Dec 10th.
A recent rain storm has cleared most of the sand from our favorite roads between Pepin and Fountain City, WI and the forecast looks clear through the weekend. If you liked River Road and County S up by St. Croix Falls, you will LOVE the “driftless” area of western Wisconsin. These are truly some of the best and yet most deserted driving roads in the nation...no REALLY! We'll make a couple pit stops along the route, then have lunch at Hansen's Hold Up (cash or check only) near Fountain City, WI before winding and twisting our way back on equally amazing roads toward the Cities. If you stay with us for the whole tour, you will probably get back to 494 at about 6:00pm, and you will put about 350 lateral-G-filled miles on your car, so be ready to DRIVE! People who need to get back earlier are of course welcome to bail out as they see fit.
More info at this link for now (read post #10).
