So do you still have a the Cobalt?

 

I thought the G8's got the LS3 (6.2L)??? or is that just the GXP??

And please tell me you still have the cobalt?

 

It's called the L76 I believe. 362hp, 385lb/ft. It launches like a rocket, then just steady all the way up. I've seen 13.9 1/4 stock times, guys are running in the mid 12's with full breathing mods and a tune.

I had to trade the cobalt. About a month of winter with that thing and it was clear to me that I didn't like it any more. I needed to get something with a real back seat as we're going to start trying to have kids pretty soon.

Haven't gotten around to pics yet as it's pretty much dark when I get off work.

 

What's not to like about the cobalt in the winter? The thing is a tank with the right snow tires.

 

Ahh, then it is just the GXP, with the LS3.. was just reading car and driver today at work and they were comparing the GXP with the SRT8..

Either way, badass car..and I'm assuming you won't need me for anything on it

 

I've vowed to not do anything to this car other than window tint and exhaust. Can't have a V8 without exhaust

I concur. last time I tried, she beat me at pool then she tried tickling me....not good, i giggle too much.

 

It wasn't the winter driving, it was the godawful ride quality (much of my own doing..), the rattling, the noise, the cold ass seats, the feeling that the car was about to fall apart at any minute, everything. I loved that car for what it was, and I'm sure I'll miss driving it in the summer.

Traction control takes care of rear drive winter driving issues....just don't gas it around the turn very hard

 

g8 is a nice buy. i test drove the gt when it first came out and i'm very impressed with the car, tons of space inside, nice look and good power. i'm excited to see how the gxp turns out though and on top of the ls3 it'll have an auto option the car will be good for ya i'm sure

That grill is the only thing that slightly bothers me...to much smiling looking..but if it has the same engine as mine...hell I'll just wait for the focus RS or a volvo c30R.

and it still beats your car :P uhhh no reason to trade in for it, same engine, still fwd :/ I do like that big ass hood scoop though, wonder if it will be more efficient on cooling the tmic. I saw some 2010 chevy trucks roll through crosby Monday when I was working there, looked liked dodge ones a little but the rear wheel wells flaired like crazy.

Hopefully they announce this cruze ss, but that would at the earliest be a 2011 model right? cuz i saw pics of a 2010 cobalt...but it looked like a cruze (malibu'ish front end). If I get a new job soon with less driving, i could go to a 2 door, so a new SS or a focus rs. be nice with awd though...

ok so hopefully you guys can help me out...im crazy because of this. Theres a new song on 94x up here (just like 93x). Theres a new song, i think from a band/group from the 80's but its new. It starts real quiet with a girl or slightly soft high voice something about back when little maybe? then the rocker guy voice comes and i cant rememeber anything after that...damn its catchy though and im going insane!
