might as well have gotten a 2.4 then
nope, 2.0 has forged internals and can rev higher.

but for the price you paid for those extra goodies, you could have gotten much better parts for the 2.4, plus a bigger engine and vvt

Hey Nate, she told me that she was single. But was talking about some Dustin guy, then when I asked if he was her boyfriend (wink wink nudge nudge, kind of thing), she said that he wishes. Oh well, wouldnt be the first time ive been in that boat.

ANd I would love to do all these crazy ass things, but as of right now Im afraid of the thought that my car could be broken. You know what though, if it is broken, then I will just build it bigger and badder.

You call the shots man. I will follow and try to get people to come. If you think about it this will be the best oppurtunity before winter so we need everyone to participate.

If its Sun. you know Im down.

I had P0171 code. For those of you keeping track at home, thats the second time now. Its for a bank 1 lean fault. This is usually caused by what Tuna and Jesse said, a MAF that is not seeing a good number. I have the rubbing through issues Injen intakes are known for so I am gonna check out my patch work and order an AEM dryflow filter since I know my filter is almost toast. The best part was i stopped for gas on my way to my friends dealership to scan my car, and when I started it up when I went to leave the gas station, it went off. So I knew it didnt have too bad a problem. So Im gonna get this **** figured out and all the more reason to tune.

Why would your light turn on now but when you had that code earlier it didn't turn on?

I dont know I asked the same question. I figure now it was running the test for it when I was at the track and it saw some very outrageous numbers, but before it was very minor. Who knows.

Pretty much since I got the car, so about 15,000 miles, which is about average for an air filter.

Yeah I heard the dryflow is a gods gift to filters. Where did you order yours from?

Yeah I checked it last oil change and it is pretty bad. Im certainmy code was caused by my MAF being dirty however. Read this. I also had a P0300 code last time the P0171 code was triggered. Neither caused a check engine light.

Random misfires that jump around from one cylinder to another (read: P030x codes) also will set a P0300 code. The underlying cause is often a lean fuel condition, which may be due to a vacuum leak in the intake manifold or unmetered air getting past the airflow sensor, or an EGR valve that is stuck open.

Its all right there. Being the lazy mechanic I am, I was going to get to it eventually.

The filter shouldnt effect your whine, as its the piping that is resonating the blower. I would throw the dryflow on and clean the MAF sensor out with a MAF cleaner or electrical cleaner so you dont damage it. That is if the MAF is setting the code.

It will sound the exact same but I don't know if it will stop you CEL light from coming on but it is worth a try.

ive been in a hole since owning the car. I think its to late to back off now ive already stuck half the value of my car into it just in parts so im pretty much alright with that.

ive learned not to run my mouth if i cant back it... Im not that kind of person to blab off and my buddies make sure of it. everything Ive said I would do ive done some times not on time sometimes ahead of schedule. But next year I do plan to have a built motor weather it takes me all year or 1 week to do it. My buddies doubted me at first when I made high hp claims out of my car but when they seen me put down just what I said they started believing me.... My brother got a cobalt only cause he seen with his own eyes what can be done and what It will give. If it werent for me breaking the barriers and making him a believer he wouldnt be owning a cobalt ss right now
