I discovered this little epic event while fixing my front struts.... it came apart right after unbolting my strut... but odd part is I dont recall anything remotely possible to cause this. all ive been doing is going around turns and stuff since installing my konis and springs.. im rather pissed that this happened and already talking about getting it replaced for hopefully free or at discounted rate. to me it looks like a defect in the material

 

^^^^ Is it snapped? I can't tell what went wrong from the pics but I do know that it ain't suppose to come apart like that.
I thought you said that your spark plugs were fouled out, thats why you lost. EXCUSES, EXCUSES. LOL

 

they were... 2 were brown and the other 2 were normal... with a lot of black soot around them.

the inner cv joint has a splined shaft thats suppose to be solid with it... well when i was doing my struts I thought my axle poped out of seat and fluid was leaking out. well it actually cracked in the cup and broke loose. the stub u see is supposed to be the one solid peice. I actually started to shread the splines out of the inner cv cup. I freaked out when i saw the stub stuck in my trans but then relised it was the c clip holding it in there

 

I was just giving you a hard time. Have you called the vendor back to see if they will replace them? If so, the other axel is still good right? At least you (or me) will have a spare for the next time at the track.

First went to the doctor to find out that i need to have surgery on my left knee. Believed to be torn cartiledge. Last year i had the same issue but with my other knee. This blows..football season is basically out of the question now. But hopefully i can get in for surgery next week..and be ready by like the 4th or 5ht game..

On anothernote, alex i bought HIDs and a relay kit so we got work to do lol.

 

yea im in contact with a vendor.... hes waiting for DSS to get back to him about the axle. and they will only replace the damaged one... so the only way I would get 2 is if I bought them on my own which was the reason I bought these damn axles in the first place to have peice of mind of not needing them... well so much for peace. Im just glad I didnt sell or toss that spare stocker i had lol

 

kool beans i went to the hobby shop in greenfield and bought transparent black paint i think it was for rc window tint too might be the same stuff they look really good thou curt!

 

what i used was Pactra RC294 i used 2 3oz cans and did 4 coats on everything with left over.... and then cleared them cause if you dont clear them rain will wash it right off.... mine could use a lil wet sanding still but there decent..

couple tips from my experience.... do light coats.... and for best spray after being told to do it... take the cans and let them sit in a small bucket of the hottest you can get tap water. it makes the paint atomize better when spraying out
