what happened?

 

seals blew out in the turbo. its pissing oil everywhere. its fucked. so he needs a new turbo which more or less means the $200 downpipe he just had made is scrap.

 

isn't it covered under warranty? or has it been on the ca too long?

 

hes had the turbo probably 6months, and its an ebay turbo. so the blow out was expected but not this soon.

 

that sucks, there's always the garrett special

 

you think we can swpa that garret i bougth that one day from that guy and swap the flange (hot side) on to that TD05?!?

dude there no warranty for custom parts, and there really a warranty on any aftermarket parts,

 

I have a feeling if a garrett TC failed in the amount of run time preston has on his car, they would replace it.

 

oh yeha garretts good about their warrenty its like 2yrs i believe. but its was some cheap turbo so i mean i was a band-aid because he dosent have extra money laying around, but were ognna get him fixed up good. my guess is is we can take that turbo in have it rebuilt to much better standards.

on that note: I am Stage 2
