J/K. The max sure looks interesting from the outside though. I wonder how many ghosts are roaming those halls.

i notice you use royal purple does your car smoke between shifts. that stuff is garbage .. ill never run it in any of my cars again.. its either mobile one or amsoil from now on. i put royal purple in as trans fluid in my vr6 and when it got colder then 25 degrees the car was retarded hard to shift into gears until it was fully warmed up to 189 degrees..

I no longer use RP, no bad experience with it, but it's too damn expensive and mobiil1 is perfectly good. I have also noticed no problem with the tranny fluid, shifts like a dream. right now I have carquest full synthetic in the engine, will change to Mobil1 0W30 advanced fuel efficiency in the fall for better winter starting.

yeah, thinking about switching to dex 6 this summer anyways, probably go with Mobil1. Question, are the myths true that you should do a flush with conventional oil between synthetics of different brands? taling about engine and trans fluid

no they are not true.

but what i do, do is buy an extra quart to run through just for good measure then fill with the required amount if that makes any sense.

yeah, I usually round up to the next whole quart, in this case, the F23 only needs about 1.5 quarts, so I buy 2 and end up with enough excess to cover me.

for all the new guys, dont forget Apr 4th we are going down to GLD if you can make it. Me, Bean, Preston, and some guys from port washington that we know will be down there BEFORE open to get in line so we can tape off a team rev area.

I will be brining a cooler full of ice for inbetween runs and also one with soda i believe.

Any Ideas on how large of an area we should tape off? Or where for that matter?

no..... i just had a complete motor build im not about to blow it up at a track casue its not completely broken in yet. beside i would get one run in with either car and be forced to rent a helmet, no thanks, but in do time i'll most likely wait to run in the fall, by then both cars will have better and more agressive tunes and broken in by then. on a good note, i worked out one of the last kinks with my car last night, my supercharged inlet pressure sensor and braometric pressure harness plugs were backwards, they both use the same plug style, opps... so it just break the motor in little a more and some more tuning.

OTTP is developing a true 3" CAI. I would hold out if I were you.

OTTP is dominating the aftermarket industry for cobalts right now. Somebody get them a rake for all the money that is coming their way.

That I don't know.

Maybe some cobalt guys have a different opinion on CAIs. I have a Redline and K&N makes the best one for that car. Actually the stock intake with a K&N drop in filter flows the best.

Injen is the most popular with cobalts.

rebel autowrks make a 3inch and its been out for a while, but if i were you i would have one custom made, but your not me. its alot cheaper doing things your self or knowing someone who can for you.

the weight isnt just any kind of oil u can put in there... you have to actually use gm supercharger oil... or like derek said get it from a vendor of the site. Intense sells it, ZZP has it and im sure a few others carry or can get it.
