so i just got my injen CAI on....i just have the short ram on for now, does anybody have any ideas on how to keep from sucking water into the motor when i put the full CAI on....and just a note, my balt is my one and only daily driver, so its not like i can just not drive it lol ....i like how on the intake Injen says to remove intake in wet conditions lol

yeah i mean hydrolock isnt a myth but it isnt rocket science not to have it happen. I had a lowered vibe with a cai (filter at the fog light) for 3 yrs with out issues (cai on 100% of that time).
dont submerge the filter in water..... thats how you prevent it from sucking up water..... the little bit of water that will get on the filter will suck thru and do no harm. to actually hydro lock your motor with water you physically have to submerge the filter in water and be pretty much wide open throttle in high rpm.....
anyway, i orderd all the parts for that under the car dumpng exhaust. Gonna go to beeyond as soon as all the parts get here. I'm pretty pumped to see what it's gonna sound like. Oh, and the other day, me and brett datalogged my car. I still hit over 150 degree intake temps by the top of 3rd. Mos def getting a front mount. wanna help make pipes bro?

if your going to be dumping your exhaust under your car at all times with out the exhaust cut out like curt had. with out a cat back. from what it sounds your going to be doing....its going to be loud and probably sould like ****. adams srt4 has his exhaust like that its loud as heck... but sounds like ****.

I dont mind helpin but I first gotta get dads truck done first.... I just did tie rod ends, wheel bearings, oil change. still have to do ball joints which are the press in type so im waiting on 200 dollars worth of tools to do so. then do a rearend gear lube change.

his intentions are to do a similar exhaust like i am with the blazer..... longest muffler possible with a turn down.... it will sound fine.

Here's the update on jordan's car:
Blown piston ring, pistons are still intact, sleves are in great shape.
He's just going to swap in some forged pistons, and maybe a few other things and then is good to go

This is a far cry from the stuff you were saying back in February.
i would go but i wont be completely done with the car til friday after noon, and i wouldnt be going on the dyno if i get it done earliar i need to break the car in first it might go to the dyno in fall, but i have you number i'll let you know if i get it done early, but i proably wont be done til some time after 5ish. but post numbers of your dyno if i dont make it im curious what numbers you put down, yeah i did that gasket too and the updated oil squirter for the timing chain. i cant wait to get to the dyno thou cause i should be sitting in the mid 300's with out spraying, close to 400 or in the 400s on spray.
yes it was a full CNC P&P head. and theirs a few other thing custom on my motor that was done as well that know one know, nos isnt one of them, heres some more on the motor thats beside a few that i wont share. the crank was polished balanced and lightened, 10:5-1 compression, balanance shafts were deleted, theres no balance shaft what so ever. the port on the head, the header, 3inch exhaust,ls4 throtle body, 3inch intake, 60lbs, 2.7pulley, plus a few that i wont tell.
