just glad I was right on the piston being bad before it really did some damage... im gonna assume with the piston being broke like that your bore was out of round?nice carnage there jimbo.... how long did u drive it after u spun the bearing... looks like that bearing either let go while u were spinning the motor up or u just didnt relise it as kept driving till it let go... good note at least you can scrap that aluminum when recycling prices climb again

actually no, the walls are in perfect shape. The compression ring was holding the two pieces tight (really really tight) in there. I noticed the minor cracks and was like wtf? so i took a small screw driver and pryed on the ring and it fell out.
so how did you check your piston wall....... and please dont tell me with your naked eye......cause thats not how you check a cylinder wall......i hoped you used a bore gauge. it could be off by such a small amount. are you at least honing out your bores? but i not talking you down i just dont want to see you in this boat again cause zach fucked you over, do it right the first time. but props to you if you used a bore gauge.

Alex looked at it when we took the head off and said the sleeves looked good, a guy my dad works with stopped out to look at it (Owned an shop and specialized in rebuilding motors and tranny's) said that the cylinder walls looked fine, so yes, i'm positive the walls are ok. The most i'm going to do is clean up the walls and take off any minor imperfections with a cylinder hone. Nothing crazy, just to clean anything minor up.
