actually hack is meeting with the cruise group up in newburgh ny at 7:30...

so thats 208 miles which should take him no more than 3 1/2 hours

so him leaving at 3:30 - 4:00 is pretty accurate

 

cloudy / overcast is the best it cuts the reflections.. long as it's like 55+like they're saying it'll be warm enough i can't wait for this.. sunny days = **** for pics before of way to much reflection

 

it's not so much the reflections as it is the shadows, hot spots, and people squinting.

yea hotspots is more what i meant clouds give you a natural soft light.. wow.. my brain isn't working for technical **** right now lol

 

I have to go from syracuse east on I-90 to Albany, then south on I87 to Newburgh to meet up.

Then from Newburgh to Montvale to meet up with more people.

Then from Montvale to New Brunsiwck

Total mileage 350

 

dude ur better off goin down 81 to route 17 east to 84 east and that will put u right at the newburgh mall and its faster

 

you know how to get to the meet right? i have no clue, so do i need to print directions or u know how to get there?

 

It's only faster by like 30 mins and I'm more familiar with 90 and 87

I will have a laptop with GPS as well as a Garmin Unit

as much as I hate it being cloudy it really is true. its not because of reflections, its cause the sun causes harsh direct light making really bad shadows. if anything photograph in the shade when sunny out. and if you know a little about photography, using reflectors would enhance the lighting in the shade making it look better with less shadow. typically you want overcast always. or even dawn/dusk. but you gotta be careful with dawn/dusk as the light is at a angle and it can be either too little or too much. look at my sig how beautiful the pic came out cause it was overcast. if it was sunny it would look like ****. also when photographing cars, look for clean uncracked unlined pavement. and throw water on the ground around the whole car for enhancement and also reflection for shadows that would normally be on the ground. I read all these tips on a website. I'll have to post it when I get home, cause I'm at work on my sidekick. oh yea another thing that's useful is a polarizer filter. it takes out glare and makes the sky bluer and grass/trees greener depending on how u turn the polarizer.
