Hey that would be cool to have not only a track day but also have someone on hand for driving instruction. Someone who teaches. It could be a racing seminar. Just casual of course. just a thought. the instructor/racer probably has an Ideal method of instruction.

That's how BeaveRun has ALWAYS worked. You're REQUIRED to have an instructor until you're deemed as a "safe" track driver. They've got pretty top-notch instructors up there. The one guy that I usually get is a former professional ARCA driver, he's worked with quite a few professional teams as well. Hell, even though I'm signed off to drive solo and should by the end of the season be signed off to be an instructor, I opt to have an instructor in the car with me from time to time anyway, it's nice to get feedback on racing lines and shift points and all that other stuff.

Up there they also have classroom portions you have to go to as well, both to teach you about driving on the course as far as safety stuff goes and to teach you how to handle a car at high speeds plus the ideal track line. It's pretty much like a mini-racing school, but you're not allowed to race wheel-to-wheel on the track (that's for racing licensed drivers only during sanctioned events).

I vote Mid-Ohio or Beaver Run. Any one know of any street fire links or YouTube links with in cars of both?

I'd be interested in this. BeaveRun gets my vote... but Mid-Ohio is also good with me.

I'd love to go but unfortunatly Beaver Creek is 200 miles further away than Summit Point. That seems to be the front running track at the moment

Beaver Run. Beaver Creek is a multiplayer map in Halo.

GINGERMAN TRACK DAY cost

well fellas.... my apologies, I forgot all about this.

I just got off the phone w/ my contact at GINGERMAN RACEWAY
We need to book the track during the week (mon-thurs)..... from a cost standpoint
I want to make this day for 20 cars only!!!! I don't want a crazy day.... I want it to be fun and not be crowded !

We are looking at $150-200 per car w/ a 20 car min/max..... I don't care how many people drive those 20 cars. I don't have the complete price yet.... I am looking into the necessary insurance.

We would have the track from 8am - 4 or 5pm..... we'll run both directions to keep tire wear even.... We'll need to work our own corners..... there will be no ambulance.
I will be happy to provide instruction to any novices (I am a skip barber race school graduate), any stupid driving will result in a warning the 1st time, 2nd time you're out..... NO BS!!!!

OK... who is in????? they can be a cobalt club member.... or one of your buddies?
I don't care what cars show. There will be a tech inspection. I would like someone else w/ track experience to help me make this a fun/safe event!

date is TDB

I would love to, but it's over an 11 hour drive for me. Can't justify that when The Glen is only 3 hours in bad traffic. Good luck getting a group together. It sounds like it would be a great time!

It was a good idea... but that's way too far, especially for a weekday.
