oh you'll notice in the morning.... when you're trying to go to work and don't have a vehicle to use because the Cobalt still isn't running.

oh and i'd be taking the drain plug with me, so you'd have to go purchase a new plug also.

Still have the GTO. The WRX is just a new daily, for now. If I ever blow the bitch up I'll make a project out of it.

blow up the subi? should never waste the money on building one of those, I think that's possibly worse than building a fail wheel drive car like my ******* haha. how is the gto? anything else going to get done?

I'm happy with the GTO as it is. It's too fat with IRS and too little tire clearance for me to ever actually make it a quick car without dumping a lot of money into it. I may still do aftermarket heads or port the stock 243's and put a FAST 102 on it, but that'll probably be it and would get me around 470-490whp depending which I'm cool with for a cruiser. The suspension is perfect, the clutch is just right, and it's reliable still. I don't want to **** with that.

What's up with the Cobalt? Is it running? What's the end goal?

send the 243s to A.I, their CNC is badass as ****. lol. but yea, is it a stock clutch?

cobalt was running like 2days before I left but the fuel rail pressure sensor was cracked and sent it into power reduced mode, didn't realize the sensor was cracked until after I replaced the pigtails on the hpfp thinking that was the issue. it was late and dark so I disconnected the battery and closed it up lol. I have my old fuel rail to swap the sensor when I get home though. should make 600-610whp though on e85 when all is said and done. about to buy my suspension stuff here in a week or two to have ready for when I get home.

Aftermarket clutch, but nothing crazy. Just a stage 2 monster.

And damn man. That's a lot of power for those front wheels. I expect to see that thing in some of Kleib's videos.

This generation of Cobalt owners is ******* annoying. I am fed up with people answering newbies questions with bold faced bullshit. KMO43 is the new James Rakes Haggerman. Telling bullshit lies to sell his tuning services.

Poor guy asks a simple question "what mods can I add to my car without needing a tune? I have GMS1 Can I change the intercooler? charge pipe? downpipe?"

KM043 ******* says "Your going to need to be tuned if you change the charge pipe, intercooler, downpipe, your fuel trims will be off."

The ONLY ******* thing on this car that you can possibly **** up the fuel trims with is the Intake! And also if you swap to a bigger turbo... but we are not talking about that here. Dude tells me im wrong when I say your fine to swap out those specific bolt ons without needing a tune.

Am I the last one from my time where all the experimenting on the LNF happened? Where we figured out what you can and cant do? Where we figured out that and modifications on the OEM tune results in 0 hp gains as the boost and timing was adjust to compensate the increased airflow?> Does nobody go back and look through the archives of data from 2008- 2010?

how do you know its james???? ill def let john know so they can fix that **** and ban him again, **** james. ****** can eat a dick. changing a downpipe would require a tune though. if its catless especially. I mean it will run and possibly without throwing codes but it wont run great. but ive had mine since 2010 lol. but I didn't get into modding til like 2012.

no no its not James, im just saying he's telling people info that may lead to sales. Charge pipe skews fuel trims. Intercooler skews fuel trims. No NO they dont.

Then 2 or 3 others chime in that got tuned by him. Oh KM043 is right though, my fuel trims were so bad before I got tuned by him. He saved my car.

Bro have you seen the fuel trims before you even swap intercoolers? They were always bad lmao.

I was saying KM043 is a Canadian version of James as in trying to weasel in some sales out of a post asking for info.

High flow catted DP and charge pipe were my first upgrades. I ran those on the stock tune for 2 years just fine. Added the intake and intercooler, still stock tune. Ran just fine. Equivalent fuel trims. Maybe im just one car, but these cars arent THAT different from each other that the same couldnt be replicated.

Sorry I got pissy and had to vent. KM043 finally realized Im not an idiot and admitted the car will probably run fine with a charge pipe and intercooler swapped.
