So I'm thinking about trolling GM. I got that Ark antenna and the stock one is deciding to be a bitch and not come off. The thing just spins around in the base because it's probably rusted to *****.

So I'm thinking about breaking the ****** and telling GM it fell off or some **** so I can get a warranty fix, that way it's not such an ******* when it comes out.

Gotta get a wrench on the locknut inside. Pull the trunk lining down to get to it.

 

Yeah I figured that was what I'd have to do. My god damn car has been a brat with every mod I've done to it thus far

 

i tried that, still didnt work it was so freakin rusted. I brought it to chevy and they told me it wasnt covered under my bumper to bumper warranty because it was a casualty of the weather. So i went back and tried some more and eventually the thing broke off. leaving nothing left to screw a new anntena on to. i just bought a new base from chevy for like 25$ and replaced it myself.

 

So much for bumper to bumper. They tried to tell me my headlamp that had water in it wasn't covered because it was caused by the computer chip I have. Made them look stupid real fast lol.

I got the shorty antenna installed. Had to take it to GM because the bracket ******* wore to the point that it broke. No warranty because it was weather corrosion. $140 bucks and a fucked up mechanic's attitude later I got a new assembly.

 

Yeah that's why I still have the stick on it because the base broke when I tried to get it off, guess it was too much muscle or just that it's a piece of ****. The weld points for it are absolutely pisspoor so that doesn't help. I'll get it off one day.
