Not sure if any of you would be interested, but Sunday, August 30th, there is a car show at Bristol Community College in Fall River, Ma. A bunch of us Redlines are going from Ma and Ri, if any of you would like to go.

i might be going

 

hydoshield for the win. on my way to work tonight, just as i pulled out of the driveway, huge downpour. 5 minutes later i'm on post road, which is a main road. somewhat flooded, but not crazy. at one point, my car bogs pretty hard, but keeps running (bearly). keep going down the road, bogs again, then again, then JUST before i get onto 37 (like a highway, but not a highway), car dies. can't get it started for about 5 minutes, get it started, runs like ****. let it run about a minute, give it some gas, dies. can't get it going again.

get it started again about 10 minutes later, running better, give it some gas, dies. another 10 minutes goes by, get it running, where it's running fine actually. so i move the car off the onramp (was just bearly at the entrance, wanted to move it down the street a bit where it would be safer. move the car, but it dies again. sit and wait. by this time my dad's come out to try and help me.

finally i get it going, idles fine, but it won't rev above 4,000. at this point we're talking about getting it home, and traffic wasn't bad, and it was through back roads. so i get going, will go past 4,000, but not 5,000. about half way through the back roads, it starts to pick back up, and a few blocks from my house, was able to run it up to 7,000. so, i'm thinking i SOAKED the **** out of my filter. and thought i'd post and vent a little here! lol.

so, cliff notes, went through a slightly flooded street, car died, thought i had water in my engine, and now am considering the new ottp intake even more as the filter is higher than the k&n. oh, and, use a hydroshield! i think that's what really saved my ass! so glad i have an oiled filter too!!!

 

mine was the same way about a month ago. had a mon soon and any time i went to bring it into boost it would die. it sucked. didnt dry out for like 2 weeks. it was submerged too.

 

so many mods...so little time.

My car isn't going for a neither month or so...parts will most likly be sold but trying to avoid parting if I keep it..........now I gotta fix this bitch bc I kicked the **** outta it calling for warrenty work today

hey guys question did you ever have a problem with your car not going into any gears? Like the shifter wont click into gear whatsoever.....just so happens tonight coming home from doing valet at pearl at 300 this morning my car has no gears and im stuck waiting on the side of the highway 6 west for about 2 hours and finally just got home? If anyone can help or tell me they had the same symptoms that be great haha

 

could simply be one of the clips for the shifter cable popped off, which is a really easy fix. only problem would be adjusting the cables to get your gears back properly, so to speak. if a cable didn't pop off, you may have bigger problems. only time i've had trouble was when i was working with the hurst shifter. pop your front cup holder out and see if the cables are loose, or even if the shifter popped out of the clip itself, which would be connected to the bottom of the shaft.

 

Happened to me twice. The role pin for the linkage shears off. its under the fuse box . The part is under a dollar . Their is a full walk threw in the how to section. 45 min job.
