Why would you want to use old crappy parts? THe whole point of doing maintenance is replacing the worn out stuff with brand new

I would say nothing. You should really just replace everything instead of trying to clean it with the probability of damaging parts.

who cares? he's not hurting anyone by asking. maybe someone who is actually local to him could show him the ropes. so just settle down.

now are you looking to just keep the maintenence on the car or are you looking to upgrade the car? because that changes some things. now i would suggest an oil change, plugs, k&n air filter, clean the throttle body and maybe even do seafoam (depending on how many miles are on your car)

If you have a quality aftermarket air filter (AEM, K+N) you can clean it instead of replacing it... in fact, that's what you are supposed to do since they are supposed to outlast the vehicle.

i'm not testy at all..... i'm just letting you know that no one cares where he posted his question. you just jump right into this thread and say what you said instead of offering help to the guy. so many people are quick to respond with stupid **** and dont even think about helping people. help the guy out first and then say "hey, just so you know, there is a section where you can find this information" and provide a link. i just hate when people come into a persons thread and dogs them because they didn't search first or blah blah blah. i'm sorry if i'm ranting but i'm a big believer in helping people, not bashing.
