hey everyone, just wanted to see if anyone was going out to cecil county dragway this friday night. me and my friends are planning on going. i have a red ss/sc now and i just want to see what it does with just an air box mod. let me know if your going.

well last night was quite interesting for me. there was a few cobalts out there (me, ORT, YellowLT, 05 red ss, and another guy with a black ss/sc (sorry man never got your name)). my best time was a 14.6, i have the air box mod, custom strut bar & ingalls torque dampener. i know for a fact i can do better i just have to work on my launches. i was able to get 5 runs in and i left at 10. YellowLT did pretty good, IMO, the best i saw him do was a 15.3 (correct me if you did better) and i know for a fact he got almost 10 runs in. it was very "slow" at the track, not a lot of people running their cars, most likely because of the holiday weekend & humidity. i got a nice surprise tho when i got home after work/before i went to the track, my K&N CAI was on my front steps, hopefully my MR cat-back comes in today and i can get them installed monday. if anyone has any advice for me on how to better my launches or anything, let me know.

 

OHhh boy, I don't even wanna talk about my night. Im so sad/pissed lol. ******* 16.5 was my best run. Bullshit! I ran slower then before :-( Ughhhh. Its ok though Cause hopefully the new Core block will be shipped sometime this week But thats kinda gonna be a surprise when its done :-) Was talking to YellowLT about it. Oh and Yellow im the kid with the all black car. lol you were talkin to me for awhile. Good runs by the way 15.3 You beat Rally inn most of his runs! lol :-P I kid i kid. But rally my advice, would probably be getting a better set of tires as a start. Those P-Zeros in my opinion suck. I dunno though. to each their own. But a 14.6 isn't bad exspecially since you've never ran it before.

 

yea, i was feathering the clutch my first two runs which where the 14.7 then 14.6. my last three runs i screwed up and dumped the clutch. my worst time was a 15.3, fyi. but my CAI and cat back exhaust will be installed for the next time i go, hopefully my skills will be improved by then and i could get a 14 flat before the custom stage 2 i plan on doing during the summer.
