finally bought a SS/SC
Picked up a 2006 SS/SC today, has G85 completely stock, doesn't look like it was ever modded.
I will be doing the airbox mod ASAP and having Slowhawk Performance tune it

If you have any questions let me know I'll be glad to help you out. First thing I would recommend getting is the revised timing chain tensioner, the original ones are known to fail. Here's a link
Ecotec Timing Chain Tensioner 12608580 - Crate Engine Depot
I'd also recommend putting a hydrosheild on the filter when you do the air box mod and put some weather stripping around the driver side headlight. This will prevent you from sucking up water when it rains. Most people don't do it but it can't hurt to be more safe.
Also call up the dealership and make sure they replaced the power steering motor in your car. There was a recall for it, if it hasn't been changed set up an appointment with the dealer it won't cost you a thing.
I'd hold off on the tune until you get a stage kit, personally I'd go with zzperformance.com to get a kit. If you got a lot of money in the bank then I'd go turbo.
Happy modding!
