Jersey GM December Meet 2007 I <3 JGM
Ok people I am trying to setup our first meet as Jersey GM (Jersey J's along with other groups have combined to form Jersey GM). Which means its open to anyone with a GM car, or if your a past member of any the original groups and moved on to another car company your still welcomed 
.. Heres the break down of next months meet pricing, and what we discussed at the Octobers meet
It will be December 15th At
Velocity 17
This is a indoor go-kart facility which means fun
Ok heres the pricing breakdown
If we do a corporate event type deal its $150 per person(15-20 ppl) and we basically get access into the VIP room and get the track to ourselves for 40 mins and we all can race on the track at once as much as we want....
Next option is we just walk in and race with the crowd.
its $18.50 per race and each race last 7 mins, we can also sign up for a year membership pass which is $20.
Tell me what you think of this I know the first option is very hard on the pocket, but I'm trying to work out a deal were we get access to the full facility for that price. Since this will most likely be our end of the year meet, If you have any other suggestions let me know.

To add to his post I am the one trying to setup this meet and would greatly appreciate all of you coming out to have fun. To elaborate on the pricing and such I received a email today from V-17(Velocity 17). Heres the email for everyone to see and get an idea on whats available at this place.

Thank you for your inquiry regarding our facility.
Please find attached details of our Private/Corporate Packages. At this
time, December 15 is available.
Please note that we can tailor a package to accommodate your event depending
on your group size.
We take a 50% deposit; this can be paid by credit card or cash. Seven days
prior to your event we ask for the remainder of the balance. A 15% gratuity
charge is added to all packages.
Please keep in mind that you will need to wear comfortable clothing and
closed-toe shoes, (sneakers are best), to be able to race, be between
54"-78" in height and weight no more then 250 lb.

If you prefer to come in as "arrive and drive" public, please see the
following prices:
'Arrive and Drive' Go Kart sessions $18.50 pp/ per race

Tactical simulator $49.99 pp/ 45 min.
session, w/ 4 people

Please keep in mind that first time V-17 visitors need to register. There
are 2 registration options: $20.00 per person registration fee which is
good for one full year or $10.00 per person day license registration fee.
You need to be 18 and have a valid driver's license to go the maximum speed
(30 mph). If you are under 18 and/or do not have a valid driver's
license, you will go at a reduced speed in a separate race. Drivers also
need to wear comfortable clothes and closed toe shoes, weigh no more then
250 lb and be between 54" and 78" tall. First come/first service basis.
Our hours are: Mon. - Thurs. 5:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m., Friday 1:00 p.m. to
12:00 and Sat./Sun. 12.00 pm to 12:00.
The V-17 Cafe opens at 12pm. every day, offering many wonderful pasta
dishes, as well as pizza, salads, burgers & fries and mouthwatering homemade
gelatos.

Umm heads up guys...I go there and you HAVE to buy the 20 dollar membership...so its morel ike 38.50...like 41-42 after tax for your first race...and then after that it's 18.50
But it's fun as hellll...to give you an idea, they do about 35-40 and they HUG the road....but they go so fast that you can ACTUALLY drift these things...and lots of people do just that...drift lol...there's some good go kart drifters out there..but they slow you down

Sounds like a shitload of fun were doing it lol ... Im trying to setup a way for us to get it cheaper than that, I'll keep everyone posted when v-17 gives me the heads up on party pricing.

I have two ways to do events like this here.
One: $75.00pp
Use of VIP Room & race suits for the event.
Membership and 3 races
Two: $150pp

45 Minutes of competetive team racing where we set your group up into
teams. There will be pit stops and driver changes as each team tries to
get the best time.
This is the best plan and the most fun for your group.

well right now I need a head count of who can make it out to the meet, so I can work out the pricing and give a down payment to the planner. Since they require a 50% deposit and the rest 7 days before the meet. Which means we really dont have alot of time to get in on the event packages. Add your name to the list and which option would you like to do.

As of right now V-17 is out of the picture for this months meet. Christmas is right around the corner and noone wants to spend $75 to mess around on a track lol... We will post pone that meet to January 26(Depending on Snow), so its better on the pocket...
So instead this month we'll have a holiday together. I have Jeffie trying to set it up, he will let everyone know when the time comes as to where the meet will be held...

Again, while ALL GM powered car owners are welcome at Jersey GM meets, you are NOT welcome if you intend to misbehave and attract any unwanted attention from law enforcement or other authorities. We'd like our club to be a positive influence in the community, and not a disturbance. Please drive safe and don't do anything which would draw negative attention to the group.
