TBH, I'm not really in the car scene anymore. I scratched all my "projects" bc this car is a piece.

 

In here it is, not on fb though. About two weeks ago there were about 10cobalts at a meet in md.

 

not me lol. i gotta fix the cobalt and i still just went out and bought a TBSS lol.

never will waste the money on a srt8 :P they cant tow anyway lol. maybe faster but not worth all the extra money. i love this thing lol.

 

They can all tow WK1 & 2.

And it is if your going to push power

 

ls > hemi all day. this thing isnt getting modded anymore than what it already is though. still will out tow a srt8, we can hook up hitches if you want?

As far as towing I just use a truck, they make them for those type of things.

lol yea i know. but i didnt want a pickup. this will be more of a family vehicle when kids come into the pic. and will still tow the nova. its a win win with it for what i need.

I'm still debating what to get next .. Dad id telling me to hold on to the balt until the investigation is done and such. He thinks they might have to buy back the cars lol we will see

 

Yeah my craziness going on right now with that. Just got the ZFR install done with mine but trying to chase down a few issues.

 

I get my rental today, hopefully. Who knows I may fall in love with the rental lol

 

why would they buy it back? what investigation?

True story. I got a little one due 13th of June so getting all prepped for that.

No idea on the tune yet. ZZP of course is a sure shot but a long drive. Id rather wait to have the block and trans installed by them and then tuned all at the same time but that wouldnt be until this winter.

So debating having RPM get it on the dyno and check everything out without going to hog crazy.

 

i dont think they would be buying the cars back. but if they want to give me the money to fund my repairs and fix my ignition thing, id be ok with that lol.

congrats man! bet your excited. why are you doing a block? and the f40 trans? if your going to do that just get them to send you a tune through the mail. since you dont NEED it as a daily driver send them your PCM and tell them your mods for a quick tune. i bought a spare PCM to send them through the mail for an E47 tune cuz i wasnt making the trip back out there just for a dyno tune lol. that would be my opinion.

 

Goal is to push boundaries for me in the Cobalt. Got the ZFR in for this summer to have fun with. And hoping to be completely crazy through winter and see the limits of this thing.

With bigger turbo,block and yes the F40. With a build like this I dont think an email tune is really the way to go. Id prefer getting it on the Dyno and really getting a solid tune in.

But thats all being saved for Winter. I dont drive the SRT very often at all so I need to Balt through the summer for DD duties

Nope. Just with the recall the value for ones that have the problem has gone down drastically. no one wants this car. lol

 

True story. And none of the dealers can get the repair parts for about 300ish years haha.

Dont lose faith though. Good things can still happen. Been through to many builds and to many cars to know that fact

 

I'm trying to stay positive. I heard that "parts should be in on the 7th" and that would be today. I also heard that they are only allowed to order as the cars come in after the VINs have be checked. My dealer had a nice collection of recalled cars already so there is a long line. Looking forward to the rental with working speakers lol
