I really wish I could. I'm dead broke and swamped with so much right now.

 

Same lol. Wish it was closer too. Can't justify a hour long driver after a 35min drive home lol. I wouldn't be there till 9.

I got my car more or less cleaned up from the trip out here. Best I can anyway. I'm going. Was hoping to see some Cobalts!

damn! i forgot about these, although i used to go with friends around 8. Bring a back pack of beers, lawn chairs and a thermas (to hide them in) and just hang on the side of RT1 and watch racing/wholeshots/ burnouts wheelies ect. Used to be BADASS!

Now its completely done, you cant exit out of the parking any way except over RT past where anyone can watch, and they have cops sit there now too. Granted it because dumb ass in mustangs, not singling out but they are the ones who did it, did donuts in the parking lot full of people almost hit a kid last year. thats what did it.

Now they are super strict, but its a great show, i probably cant make tonight but would love to plan the one two weeks from tonight with everyone from the forum, John and Jeremy could you guys make it if planned ahead?

Well the issue is my work schedule flip flops so in two weeks I will be working till 7:30 again but if we did it in 3 weeks, I would be out by 5 so I would definitely be able to make the trek down there.

 

If you come back again, hopefully we will have the shop up and running to the fullest! Didn't you say you were moving back over to this side of the world?

 

Yes, Charleston S.C, so this side of the world again, but still a pretty good hike from here.

I did see one Cobalt there. Red, with PINK SC wheels and a PINK aftermarket highrise spoiler.

People did line RT1 to watch burnouts but the cops put an end to it pretty quick.

 

it used to be INCREDIBLE.

Like 9 second drag cars whole shotting up the highway, because they have their own exit stoplight, there was no traffic so they could sit there line up and go. But cops, pedestrians and old guys put and end to it quick. I did nearly see a corvette flip hitting the medain 2 years ago!!

But i remember seeing 2 cobras race on nitrous and a streetbike tried to pass inbetween them and people were screaming (us in enjoyment) but tons of people called the cops.

 

They also lined the overpass for the exit road inside the parking area to watch people do burnouts there. Nice little concrete area but the ticket booth being right at the end of that was a little close for comfort.

 

Ill definitely be headed up to the next one in two weeks with the wife and kids, probably wont be in the cobalt though, Kids>megan springs.

 

Your back > megan springs lol. Those things have horrible spring bind on them. If you went with Sportlines I think you would like the drop and be happy with the ride. Might want to look into them a bit
