Arrow Need Help with Remote Start....

Hey,

I am looking for someone in NJ that can install a remote start in my 2010 SS. My job(BestBuy) will not install it into a Manual Transmission car. So if you can help me out and can do a clean and professional job, PM me.

Seeing how you're supposed to leave the car in first or reverse(depending on which way you're facing an incline) having a remote start would just make the car buck forward if it's in first and potentially hit another car or something. Most shops wouldn't take the risk of being sued for liability.

I had a Remote start in my 2006 Cobalt SS/SC with no problems. I never keep my car in gear when it's parked. If i had to keep it in gear, I am smart enough not to remote start it! My friend that installed it in my car is no longer around. So I am looking for someone to install one in my 2010.

I'd do it for you, too bad you are in jersey though. What system are you trying to install? If it is one of the new Viper units, tell your installers to quit being bitches and install it. The new Vipers are designed to go on a standard trans, they have an auto and a manny mode so you can do it either way.

Tell them that they can do installs on standard trans. I'd say they could call me at my store if they needed help on how to do it, but I just quit so I'm no longer there. Like I said I would definitely do it for you but yeah. Have to tried calling around to other bbys in your area to see if anyone would do it?

It's not that they don't know how to do it, they said legally they can't do it at the store!

I guarentee you that they won't do it because they don't know how. If they knew anything about how the company worked, they would know that we were told by corporate we were able to install them on sticks. There is no legal issue attached to it so long as it is installed as it was supposed to be. Best Buy will not do something illegal, so like I said, it sounds like your installers are either afraid to try the manual setup or they just don't know how.
