what size wrench is used to put on the sepertine belt( on the 06 ss/sc? thank you I had to replace it last oct and again its frayed is that normal on these cars?

I don't think that is normal, and I'm not sure what the size is.

a few things. either you put the belt on wrong and it frayed because it was put on wrong or off a thread. OR you bought a really shytty belt OR the belt was just defective OR possibly your tensioner is bad or failing.

A loose or failing tensioner or improperly installed tensioner can leave the belt slip and even possibly jump a thread causing the belt to fray an tear. Just make sure you know what your doing.

I have a thread for depressing the tensioner w/o having to put a 15MM wrench on top and depressing it. I use a pry bar and a screwdriver. Here it is https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-...ed-nub-285598/

Me and Brian took down some Porsche's, an FRS and a 550i... no big deal...

Both our instructors were surprised at how well our cars did, as was everyone else
