Pittsburgh Area Dyno's

Where, in the Pittsburgh area, is there a dyno shop? Im looking for a place that would be reputable and not way expensive. Not a "Joes garage" with a dyno he only uses 2 times a year. I need a baseline.

I'm up for a pre and post pulley dyno pull, as well. Not sure where, though.

I was reading a little about them but they seem to use an unconventional method. Dont know if it is better or not but they dont use rollers, they bolt these machines up to the hubs of the cars and run them that way. Opinions or input?

O dam guys check this place out. Its in castle shannon and basically the more people that show up as a group, the lower the price is. Here is the website, check it out. This looks promising.

I hear my money draining from my bank account...

I might be up for it just to see what the "bone stock" car does.

I, however, won't be able to do ANYTHING next weekend EXCEPT the Autocross. I am in a weddin next weekend, so my Friday and Saturday are shot.

Thats what im interested in. Im stock and will stay that way till i get a baseline dyno number. I spent the better part of the afternoon looking for dyno shops around pittsburgh. This one in Castle Shannon looks the most promising. Seeing as how it is nice outside they may have a booked schedule (especially on weekends) in the near future. Hopefully on my lunch break tomorrow i will call them and see what they have to say.
Dave when do you think you will get your car back? Maybe this is something we should look at more toward Memorial Day weekend? Opinions/Comments?

I know my cousin took his WRX and had it dynoed here recently, and I am pretty sure it was local.
He is going to some new one he found that is a 4 wheel dyno as well, so I'll have to ask him as well.

He'll be up at the AUtocross on the 21st as well. He has got this mean sounding black WRX.

Ask the guys about how friggin LOUD this car was.

ANyway... got in a car daze there and blanked on the topic at hand.

I am planning on keeping mine stock for this season, and if I'm going to get as into auto-x as I think I am.... I'll have alot to upgrade....

Talk about ADDICTIVE!

I wouldn't mind taking a run on the dyno and getting some numbers.

I vote for after this wekend though. I'll be gone and if I have to miss Autocross AND a dyno day, I'm not going to be a happy camper that weekend.

Here is the reply to my email i got back from asap performance:

"Hi Tim
Yes , I do discount for groups . It is 55.00 per car and you get 2 runs with print outs . If you want air/fuel data , it is a extra 10.00 per car . If you want PCM data logged it is a extra 20.00 per car . As far as tuning , you can make changes between runs and buy extra runs at 10.00 a run . Or if want to do tuning another a day we will discount that also . If you want us to due the tuning just give me a call.
Thanks Ed
412 492 7454"

So this may be another option to think about.
