Pittsburgh Cobalts / Auto-X'ers

Hey guys.... I posted this in the Autocrossing section, but no one ( except Alicia ) responded either way...

Don't forget August 27th... Wash. County Airport... Autocross for a cure ( MS charity event )....

Space is limited to 120 or 150 cars ( can't remember ) and the spaces are filling up....

We'll get to run on the taxi ways and such... should be a cool ( and fast ) course.

PLUS... it's only $20 and for a great cuase. Currently.. there is only 1 Cobalt entered... don't let me be the sole rep from the Cobalts!

COme on out and have fun.. I know you guys have been getting helmets.. so put them on and come hit some cones!

Ok... getting a little OT there guys.....lol

Well, between loaner helmets and if Alicia runs ( or not.. ) you could use her helmet... or mine... Just have to find #'s that are far enough away to swap helmets.

Mine is #58

NHSCC runs their runs numerically... so they let all the classes mix it up together.

I'm just mainly putting this all out there for the sole reason as it's a limited # of spaces that are filling up quickly. If you want to get in, get in soon.

Of course, even if you don't... gotta come out and support the ones who do....

I'll run... but I won't have my own helmet by then. Where is the registration for this?

EDIT: Found the registration. http://www.nhscc.com/2006/msevent06.pdf

That's why I've been saying about having #'s that are far enough apart that we can share helmets. NHSCC WILL have some loaners...
THe old loaners from BR are now too old for SCR, so they donated them to NHSCC... I think there are 4 loaners...

DAN... If you want a decent one that's affordable.... call APEX PERFORMANCE... or go to thier site...

If you call, ask for Linda or Jamie, and They can hook you up... very close to Rt 8 in Gibsonia, right off the TPK Exit.

My helmet is great and got it for 150

Got a free bag and head sock as well.

Oh... if you plan on RUNNING at the Washington Cty Airport Auto-X, you better get your APP in ASAP. I dunno when the cutoff is, or how close to filling up it is. Limit is either 120 or 150 drivers.

Well, as far as I can tell NHSCC basically mirrors most SCCA classes, if not all. They DO have some different allowances, but that's it I think.,

THe SS in stock form is in D-Stock.

Once you ad a CAI ( some other's can verify my claims... Alicia, Jon, Dan ) they bump you into STS... If your car comes with the LSD, then I dunno after that. We were just talking about that on RACEPA.com and that came up.

Once you add the stage kits, or aftermarket pulleys, etc... you get tossed into the shark tank that is SM ( Street Mod ) and goooood luck!... bunch of fast cars there.

I'm looking into just what we can and can not do before bumping into various classes.

After Labor Day, ,we'll be back at North Park...

The "flatblackrustang" is an insane car. So much fun to watch. That guys a great driver.

I'm not a member as of yet, but I'm thinking abotu it.

The LSD only is legal in D-stock if it came that way. If you ADD it, then you have 1 of 2 options.... add the Recaros ( providing you add the factory style Quaife LSD ) , or run in a different class.
