So far as for Sedans, he said it is slightly more, but not much, he's gonna figure out how much exactly.

Different %'s on the same car isn't a problem at all

The back window where the dot matrix is, on John's car it looks perfect, but he said if you don't like it, they will put a piece of vinyl on to take care of it.

Totally Ironic. I dont know if you guys saw this:

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/appearance-48/tint-laws-49479/

Quick break down - PA allows NO window tint on any windows (aftermarket i assume) manufactured after 1998.

LOL! Stupid PA....

I knew that, but there are so many of my neighbors in Evo's, WRX's, SRT-4's running dark tint that I'll take the chance. Plus, when he pulls me over, I'm so old he'll just feel bad for me and let me go.

Its also technically bullshit. Its not a law and never was. Big big difference between a penndot regulation and a law, but they still feel its legal to ticket for it. Read this for the interesting truth.

And ROFL at Brian, that made my day.

Ya, there are so many variations that from what i understand, it is up to the governing juristiction to decide what is acceptable and what is unacceptable for their district. The state just likes to make a quick $120. I was only ever told to pull my tint off once, and actually was required to show up to the barraks to prove that i did it. All the other times it was just a warning, or a fine. It is bullshit. Just like all the other motor vehicle policies we seem to have here.

Al, Glad I could make your day. I use that one @ meetings and such when the speaker says "anyone have any questions?"

That usually gets us out of the meetings quicker...

Tim, I got pulled over in Monroeville with the truck and I had to show up within 5 days to prove the tint was off. Guy told me that since "I was from TX, and didn't know it was illegal here" he'd let me off that way.
Some other cop was there when I went and never even looked at the dam thing, and I spent an hour scraping!

to me... it's not worth the hassle anymore. looks great, but I'm not giving them a reason to pull my old **** over.

Umm.... Me and 2.4 Dan asked a cop during the summer at the Irwin car cruise about window tint. He gave us the book to look it up and also told us that it is a personal preferance on the cop... direct quote from cop, "I think there is better things to be looking for to pull people over than window tint."

When we did look it up, it said nothing about all back windows... only windshield, driver and passenger side windows are to remain free of tint unless it was produced tinted stock upon purchasing the vehicle.

Also, Dave, put Shaun down too!

Well kiddo's, after 4 weeks of working in downtown Pittsburgh, I can say one thing without a doubt...

I am NOT a 'city boy'. I can't fathom how anyone lives or works in that hell-hole all their lives! Only 17 more months and I'll be able to transfer... I'll never bitch about boring ol' Greensburg again!!

So anyhoo... what's everyone up to?

What can I say.. I like the boonies!! I'll be the first to admit I wouldn't last 10 seconds in NY, Chicago, etc. That's why I stay the fack away from them.

To each their own.

Just a little side note to the window tint...I have had my tint pretty much since i bought my car and i have never been hasseled with. I have pretty darke tint too...so if that is any helper to anyone on the bubble. My back windows you cant really see through. My drivers and passenger doors are dark but not quite what the back is...you can still see in sort of...
