It's St. Paddy's Day for God's sake!!! As long as Guinness is involved...I'm game. Sorry in advance to everyone who is under 21.
Well, that was kinda the whole point to begin with, since Karla's s/o Shaun has come back from the sandbox and wanted to do a "welcome home" kinda thing. That's it's a "holiday" this weekend was both a bonus and a hinderance since ANYWHERE we go is going to be crazy packed. Personally.. I hate big crowds like that.

Let's all figure out something. If this all falls thru, I have "Plan B" for my own time. I've kinda been setup on a semi-blind date.

WOw... you F'rs are quiet.

OK... well I think I made a decision on wheels.

I'm getting the Enkei EVO 5's... 18x7.5 with the 35mm offset....
Kuhmo ECSTA SPT ( like my old ones on the stockers ) 225/45 18's

Mount/balance/tax.... under $1300

Collins Family Motorsports.... they can be here tomorrow if I order them today.

Dan P. If you still want to get the wheels as well, let me know.. maybe he can get a better $ if we order more... even just wheels for you.

I know there are cheaper prices out there online, but it's not that much different in the long run... the tires are 108 each and the wheels str about 195, but he's taking $$ off for a package and basically giving me free mount & balance.

Also... Since I've not heard anyone really speak up about Saturday, at this point, I'm going to go my own way. I kinda was asked to go on a "blind date", so I'm going to take a chance...

Brian... I want the wheels, but no tires. Best price I found online for the 18's was $720.00 shipped. Let me know what he can get them for.

Judging by how he was talking, I would have to say that he wouldn't be able to beat that. He was talking 195 each, and $10 each for frieght. That said, he could do better for me by not charging for the M&B.

I'll call and ask.

We've been trying to figure this weekend out for about 3 days now. DOES ANYONE HAVE A REAL PLAN? ??? There's gonna be checkpoints so staying in Greensburg would be ideal.

So you're the one with a CF hood on dark red? I've seen that parked over there a few times when I go in for groceries.

I was going to do the same ( put the stockers back on ) but since I saw a huge hole in 1 tire... that nixed that, and the OEMs are getting the r-comps on this week, and the new wheels/tires are getting ordered today, and should be on the car next week if the weather permits.

Can't friggin wait!

Fun fun. My weekend is going to consist of car projects and resting/recovering from vacation. I just cannot get caught back up on sleep. Feels like I've been running non-stop ever since I got home. Tis really put me in a cranky mood, just ask Wes. I'm starting to feel a little bit better though.

Hey is there some time in your busy schedule when you can get me that brake fluid? I'd really like to do that this weekend since I'm doing the brakes anyway. Or I might hold off until next weekend when my dad's here to help me, either way, let me know when I can get that from ya. Depending on which way you're going home, I can meet you somewhere.

SO weird, there used to be a sport red tint coat SS/SC sitting in the parking lot of the GE in Braddock Hills Shopping Center alllll the time. I don't know if it was someone at GE or someone at the bank. I never shop there anymore though, I'm always at the GE by Target in Monroeville or the Waterfront. Only time I ever stop by the one in Ames Plaza is either going to or coming from class at IUP.

I ALWAYS wait until April to put the Pirellis back on. I think I'd be OK with the Neros, but the roads I drive on worry me more because of pot holes than because of snow/ice. 18s with low profiles = bent rims WAY too easily.

Speaking of potholes, I hit a HUGE one in the construction on 5th yesterday. The WHOLE lane wide and about 8" deep. I think I scraped the front facia. If I did, you bet your ass I'm going after public works to fix it. Goddamn potholes...

Ya i usually wait to change off the snow tires but on Monday i have an appointment to get the car looked at for the intermediate shaft/end-link poping noise among other various things and i didnt want them to have a scape goat in saying that it was just my snow tires, or that they caused something to happen yadda yadda yadda....

Alicia, I have no clue as to how much you're going to need, but the guys on RACEPA laughed when I said I bought 3 qrts, so I'm assuming it's alot less than that.

I can toss it in the car and on my way home from PGH tomorrow late AM, I can drop it by your place, if that's where you're doing the work....

I have the SSBC ( Stainless Steel Brakes Co. ) DOT4 fluid. Never been opened and always in my bedroom, so they've not been sitting in cold weather.

Definitely a good idea. Day was horrible with me about that, they kept telling me the noise didn't exist, I told them that you could hear it EVERY time you stopped/started. Finally told them I didn't want the car back till they pinpointed what it was, did the same as you, made sure to put the stock wheels on. Got it back, the guy looked me right in the eye and said "Yeah, that's totally common. It's the hubcap hitting off the wheel, happens all the time with steel wheels." I just laughed at him and took the car back. Sucks I never got it back in while it was under warranty. Let me know what they say about yours, I'm probably going to be doing a self-repair as soon as I have a good lead as to what the problem may be.

I think it's only like a quart, maybe 2 at the ABSOLUTE most. I'll definitely give ya the $$$ for it, just bring the 3 bottles, I'll use what I need and give ya back whatever's left over. There should be enough for us both to do a fluid swap.

Well, I've been told that what is opened can get moisture/airbubbles and that's not a good thing. So, when you use what you need, you just keep the opened ones. I'll just go and get more when I go to summit next.

Might go when Ed picks up the SRT.
