So guys after lots of soul searching I have decided to trade my reliable old 2005 Mitsubishi Evolution in on a Cobalt SS supercharged and building it up.

I like the idea of a twin charged car and I might consult you guys on how to build that up since I think a few of you are already done with it?

Oh, my motor is getting built like a brick. Just not sure if I wanna get the 10.5 pistons and use the eaton still. Then possibly get a twinscrew or TVS, or stick with 9.5 and maybe try this T/C stuff.

My motor is gonna have to be pulled and torn all the way down to the crank, so everything is getting replaced while its out, not touching that LSJ again.

 

Where are you having the work done Wes? Forged internals? Going any bigger or staying at 2.0?

I want to do mine - maybe next fall. I'd like to do a 2.3 or 2.4 stroker

 

As far as pulling the motor and internals, we are doing all the work if we can find a descent garage. Machine shop is porting head, blower, some block work, and overbore it. Not sure where that will put me. Be more than a 2.0 though.

 

All the race ecotecs stay at 2.0 or destroke to a 2.0. They keep it there to keep vibrations and movement to a minimum.

 

Wes, since the whole car is/will be torn apart anyway...

Why not pull and sell your LSJ, then swap in a 454 and convert it to RWD??
