I forgot to mention I failed a compression test on the #4 cylinder. Plus now my car is like a smoke screen so I think I may have actually nuked a piston. Oh well, time for first local LSJ pull. Who wants Mahle ashtrays and paper weights.

Anyone looking for drag slicks? Free shipping and cheap tires. Looked on there for road racing tires for me and of course they don't have the right size for my racing wheels

LOL, true. Guess they should adjust their prices to reflect the what $800 for new axels? At least I haven't had to worry about that yet with the R-comps but they're not as sticky as drag slicks nor do I launch as hard as people do at a drag strip. Auto-x FTW.

Only if the gasket blew between two cylinders, which in that case it shoudn't affect the oil, because the only thing between the two cylinders is the water jacket.

More often than not though, that's the case that it's low on 2 cylinders.

BTW enjoy your downtime without WOW

I bought Gears of War and while playing it tonight my 360 told me that i needed to clean the disc with a soft cloth and proceeded to freeze. Ya that pisses me off. Anyways, that sucks to hear Wes. Is this going to be the segway into the twincharging?

When Hoosier sent my R-comps... they each were in a box...lol

Good thing it was free shipping. Had to take them OUT of the boxes to get them in the cobalt. THe GM tech guy said last night... "hey, do you know your car smells like new tires inside?"

Wow... $800 for new axles??? OUCH.

Guess I WON'T go and get drag radials and wheels... not that I have room for them.

My garage resembles Luigi's "Leaning Tower of Tires"

OK.. you buya 1 tire... I throw in SEVEN Snow tires....

umm, yeah, thats what I meant, maybe

Yeah, so how exciting is it to throw together an imaginary parts list and realize it will be ordered and paid for in 2 weeks. More exciting than the Burning Crusade release....well not really, but close.

Yeah... lot's of great quotes from that movie.

"I once knew this girl named Dorien, she looked just like a Jaguar.... except she was a truck"

I haven't decided what the Return will go to this year.... maybe car stuff. Maybe drums... I have a possible audition coming up... too soon to tell.

OHHHHH I talked to SRT Ed last night... his car dynoed on 92 octane gas & a 5PSI boost leak @ 400WHP / 430 lbs/ft torque.
Leak is fixed now and it's supposed to be going back to the dyno today... looking for 460/500 ( hp/tq) on 104 oatane......

That's just silly.

I want to drive it!

Wait what happened to Wes' car now!??...I mean ..ok a shorter list would be what "hasn't" happened to Wes' car?

Either a bad/stuck/worn piston ring or stuck/bent valve. Maybe even the piston itself but the car runs fine, so I don't think it's the piston. Also could be the PCV valve I guess.

We're just gonna take the head off and replace the headgasket. Then check to see what is really wrong once we are inside. If it turns out a bad piston or something, the motor is getting pulled and let the build begin cause I am not pulling this thing twice.

If anyone feels like giving their opinion: Symptoms are, dipstick popping out and squirting oil when I go WOT. Stays in while normal driving. White/gray smoke comes out of oil cap or dipstick if I open them. Smells like combustion so I think my motor is getting Blow-by. However, car drives fine. Even when I got WOT (yes I know I shouldn't while the car is like this) it is still strong.

Wes you're pressurizing your crankcase and that is popping the dipstick. This is a head gasket deewee at the very least. Yank the head. What'd precipitated this? Missed shift? Overrev? Lean run?

Ok, enough ********.

It blew a head gasket, not sure if there is any piston damage or not. It logged 11.77-1 A/F when it blew at 6800rpm, of course my scanner wasn't monitoring knock so I have no idea if there was any or not. It was in low octane table, so it shouldn't have been a problem. I think these head gaskets are just really shitty, supposedly they are MLS from the factory, but I don't know.

Hmmm.....piston damage would be a long shot, but entirely possible. So according to Dan then Al=1/ Headgasket=0

I just happened to be on eBay and found them. I guess that explains why he wants to back out of the turbo project.
