The question- Do you:

A) Buy one tire to replace the fuxored one?

B) Buy 2 tires so that at least 2 will wear the same & put both on the front?

C) Say **** it and leave the stock-POS 15's on?

At this point I'm dangerously-close to option C, except that I'm not really a fan of the 15's and I did pay a ****-pile of money for the 16's...

Watcha think?
So.. what ??? No road hazzard warranty on them?

IF so... shame shame shame... you're always so proctectant of your $$, and if that's the case....

by 2 and deal with it.

I know, I know... Trust me, I've already kicked myself for that one.

The next problem is going to be finding someone around here who has them in-stock. For some reason, that particular tire in a 205/55/16 seems hard to come by around here, I know that from when I first got them. If worst comes to worst I'll get them from Tire Rack, but I'm impatient...

Its supposed to rain/snow tonight. Plus, i didnt realize this but on Rt. 30 near Westmoreland mall they are going to start doing road work there, possibly at night. Hanging out around there might be a no-no till they are done. Any happenings going on down that way Luigi?

Nope not at all, in natrona heights for anyone who knows where thats at. They are putting up speed traps and giving hefty fines for anyone caught drag racing. anywhere from $200 to $1000 fines and a chance to loose your license for up to 5 years so nothing going on here.

Got mah purdy pistons with new rings today, with head studs and gasket. Now we just wait for the rest, and for Crower to get back to me. Hopefully between Wed -Sat someone can help me get this motor out and onto an engine stand.

I actually got a job now but I work during the day so it would be nights at my garage. If Al drops off the hub tool and his laptop with the HPT box and tune, I can atleast flash the tune on your car. Your running the exact same setup as him so it should be very close for you.

Yea close enough for now, til it can be tweaked. But I have nights free those two days, so whatever you need let me know.

I need to steal Als cherry picker and figure out how we can get this thing out of the car. I guess just start disconnecting mounts, cables, hoses, wires, and axels and pull, lol. God I dread even attempting to remove the fuse box.

You're not gonna be able to do much up there for a while... it's down to one lane each way under the overpass at Pittsburgh St., with a goofy crossover on the westbound side. I don't know how long it's supposed to take, but they have actual lines painted in addition to the cones so I'm assuming they're planning on taking their time... as usual.

As a side note, I replaced the two front tires, so my 16's are back on... WITH a road-hazard warranty....

You can pick my cherry anyday.

I have to go to work shortly, but I hope to be around tomorrow night and sunday to help.

OK....

Tim... no. THe wheels aren't on the car yet. I'm getting an alignment this week on it, then they'll be on.

Those wheels look very nice... 17 lbs too... mine are about 18 a piece.

Mike, you could check that place I got mine ( CFM ) in Irwin. They can get just about anything you need. Tell them I send you, and ask for Morgan.

Wes... 2 things of advice in my many years of car bulding/rebuilding...

1) Mark everything... bag, tag, and all that.

2) TAKE PICTURES of stuff that is being done. Have someone there to do it if you can. Makes things alot easier.

I was by westmoreland mall just an hour ago, and it's down 2 one lane each way before you get to 130.... in both directions.

Well I probably won't be able to start until Wed. Will you be home on Monday at all during the day? As early as 9?

Yeah we did that the first time we had the motor apart, it definitely helped. This time around though I am more worried about marking cable connectors, to match of both ends so I know what cables go where. Too many sensors and wires, gets mixed up easy.

I have no idea when I'll be home this week. I can say for sure though that I'll be off next weekend to help Dan and NoRemorse tune Dan's car.

Doesn't really help me though, you will be with Dan as you said, lol. Oh well, I know your dads garage combo, I will just go down when no one is home in the morning and steal the picker myself.

You guys don't have access to a lift. They said its easier to drop it from the bottom then hoist it out.

As soon as I get my wheels on Mon or Tues I'll get them mounted and snap some pics. I pretty sure the stock Pirellis will go on a 7.5 inch wheel. Anybody verify that.

I think we're going to try to leave the tranny in place.

Fullthrottle did it by dropping the subframe and leaving tranny on the engine. From what I seen from BDWar, he left the tranny in the car with the subframe. But I don't see how there is enough room to slide the engine off the input shaft without moving the tranny.

I should just buy the lift I want already.

Im trying to talk my dad into buying a hydrolic lift for his new garage when they move. That would make things EZ. Wes, have you picked up a chiltons or something like that? I can check at work to see if i can get access to some sort of literature if you want.

Steve, they will fit, but you really should move to a 225/45/18. Other wise the side wall will go more like this \__/ instead of |__|
