I see...what are you going to bore to?? Why not go with just the next step in compression with 10.0:1 Pistons?

One blue, one red, and one black. Next naked ass laser blue 2.2 I see, I'm going to see if he wants my trunk/wing.
I have some carbon fiber fabric and clear polyester resin coming... we can shave your trunk and wrap it in CF... haha.

I am upping the compression to 10:1, if I can for the same price I might as well bore it out .5mm. Either way the machine shop will have my block to clean and hone it.

But it doesn't look like diamond makes overbored pistons, and I can't use the 2.2 **** like I wanted too. So I think I will be getting standard bore diamonds @ 10:1 now.

Dan, what do you plan to use that fabric for?

I'm going to practice on some scrap wood to see how well I can actually wrap and then gelcoat. If it turns out good, which I'm 85% confident it will, then I'll try to do the insides of my headlight housings. I might wrap some plastic pieces under the hood as well just for looks.

If it goes really well, I may try to wrap a wing insert. But that's only if I'm really brave.

The stuff is fairly cheap, so I figured why not give it a shot. If I get good enough with it, we might offer custom CF wrapping as a service on our website. It's actual carbon fiber fabric that you see aftermarket parts (hood and trunks) made with. So we'll see how it goes.

How come you no longer endorse the 2.5?

I'm guessing because of the heat it creates and the fact that dan's SC no longer works. What actually went on yours, Dan? I never saw you post much about what happened.

Ya i knew about all that stuff. I thought you were chalking up yours to noises from the S/C from the factory, and I thought Dave was attributing his to the JB weld, and the 2.35 @ 140mph.... 2.7 is what i think would be max. smallest size.

Saw something today... an Acura TL Type S. It was at Smail Acura, must have just been delivered as it still had the white "shrink-wrap" protective stuff on it. "Kinetic Blue Pearl", dark gunmetal wheels, 4-outlet exhaust, and oh yeah... a 286 HP V6! *drool* Only $38K.

I want one, dammit!! I'm normally not partial to 4-door cars, and I've never owned an import, but for some reason this one is sexy...

Eh, who am I kidding? I'll be driving this thing till the wheels fall off...

Hey guys...

I'm back in town ( Yes... I WAS out of town )

Mike... the type-S is a BAD ASS car. Love the look and features of it.

I got a call from CFM and my wheels came in today, so tomorrow I'll pick them up after work... post pics Friday morning ( not on car )

I was in NJ for my Navy project. That kicked legendary ass.

I just read that the 08 Infiniti is releasing the G37 coupe. Its going to have 4 wheel steering. That will be one sick car.

I do like the TL-S. A guy I work with is considering one.

Brian... I want to see those wheels! Let me know. Also, I got into the motorcycle safety course tonight. So I won't be able to autocross on Sunday.

OK Dan, that's cool. Thanks for letting me know.

I will post pics tomorrow of the wheels, but they're not going on the car until I get the alignment done.

Yeah... i have no clue what's going on. The weather channel says snow and a high of 37..... but the local yocals say drizzle and a high in the low 50's.... WTF???

I'm not sure what I'm going to do at this point. I'd like to get the car out there before the 1st SCR event, but it's not looking good. I'll be in Erie next weekend opening up camp, so I won't be around for NP #2.

Dan since reading the book on the car i dont want to do the 2.5 pulley. I was just wondering if i had to do the 60# injectors...or if i could do 50#...etc. My plan gets all screwed up the more that i read and research. Not that i actually have the money but my project is getting longer and longer...that is why i no longer have a time table for it. It just sucks that **** costs so much to build something the right way. I might do your 2.8 set up just to make myself happy and say something is done to the car...but ultimate goals are set for fall when i can possibly buy another car...that and i have to save money...**** just sucks...

Give it time. I am just keeping mine on I think and if something happens to the blower, probably go the Holset route since Al has one laying around. Or twinscrew if its out and cheap enough.

I've got the 2.6. Seems okay, coming up on like 10 months with that setup.

If you have a smaller pulley, you're gonna fry the s/c sooner. A chance you take, and replacements can be had.

Also, just don't beat on it. I run hard, but not all the time. If anything, I'm more gentle with the car than I was stock.

Random idea of the week:

Who's free on Saturday June 2nd and would want to take a 3 hour trip to Summit Point, WV?

http://formulad.com/prochampionship.php?id=4

It's a Formula Drift event from noon till 8pm. I figured we could leave early morning and make it down there by 11am. It sounds pretty cool. Tickets are $20 and can be bought online now. The Solstice GXP drift car will be running in that event... and I've been dying to see it.

What do you think?
