for those that have never met us at kings before, we usually park in the back right corner of the lot when you pull in, against the hillside, theres nevery oneone there, ill be there around 3:15 or so. anyone that wants to use the car wash and cant get there by 3:30.. if you turn up vip towards kings from 910, keep going, its like 100 yards up on the right past kings..

we will head back down to kings to wait for those coming from 4:30-5 and then head out..

anyone going to bww tonight by chance?

dan i might be around those parts early, depends on what time i finish in zeli tomorrow, ill call ya

Which BWW's were you thinking of, Matt? Wes and I still have a TON of cleaning and rearranging to do tonight, but maybe we can peel ourselves away for some wing action.

Matt..... if I thought they'd give me half of what I'm upside down... I'd jump on it. They're proving to be a decently competitive car in Auto-X when setup good, and they're comfy and fast...

Was just gonna ask you the same thing Matt. I'd prefer sometime before 8 or so. No idea what my problem is, been going to bed earlier but waking up completely wrecked the next morning.

Brian, come to the dark side, er Australian side. hehe. Then we can both whup up on Jeff Lemme know if you want a co-drive to do some convincing...it might be possible to be arranged.

The spice red 06 at my local dealership finally disappeared after sitting on the lot for a year. There's actually 721 new 06's on dealer lots across the country according to ls2gto. Only problem is that most of them are automatics, which you may not want for auto-x, but I still think it would be decently good. Steve C. seems to do pretty well in his yellow automatic IROC.

If anyone wants my cell # for the meet tomorrow, send me a PM.

LAWL are you headed home down 30? (Don't know where you live though) If you're going through Forest Hills we can run down and laugh at you for not being home yet....LOL.

BTW 7:30 is fine

I'm seeing used low mileage 2005's go for around $20-22k...more than 10k off of the new sticker price. Used 2004's are going for as low as $16k, but the money you would spend if you wanted to upgrade the brakes, hood (if you want the hood scoops), rear bumper (if you want the split tips on each side), and engine and driveline upgrades, you would be better off paying the extra money for an 05 in my opinion.

I've seen an ad for a new 06 for as low as 23,495, but i think most are still going for 25-28k and up, depending on how rare the color/transmission combo is. The differences between the 05 and 06 are as important...lighted steering wheel controls, an actual door lock button, somewhat faster seat motors, the black taillights, and brazen orange and spice red for new colors. Used 06's probably aren't much more money than an 05 now that I think about it.

Most cars have low miles since the people that sell them usually get something like a trailblazer ss or a vette/z06. Sorry for the long post. See you all tomorrow.

Edit: there's a bunch in the For Sale section of ls2gto.com...modded silver 05 for sale in san diego - 429rwhp and 409tq for 24,600 OBO just to give you an idea of what modded ones are going for.

Yea I dont want an 04 because of the LS2, But I didnt know about the differences between the 06 and 05's. I would really like to get one, but I think my mom and g/f would slaughter me lol. But if it was the same price as the balt I might have a shot, im looking around on ls2gto.com for some ideas on cost.

Dan, I might be interested in doing a co-drive for a North Park event... but if I don't miss an SCR event... and finish 2nd or 3rd @ each event that The R32 shows... I'll still keep 1st by about 40-50 points, so I won't miss those.

I've seen 3 or 4 sticks in GTOs locally that are out there, but I'm not paying 23K for something that's been sitting there that long.

Now, it they were down to 18- 20K... I'd try for sure.
Make a fun F-stock to give Jeff fits.

According to GM buypower there is only 1 new GTO M6 and its silver with a red interior at Cochran in Robinson. Almost a 33k msrp but im sure you could deal to 28 out the door. Maybe lower, but at Cochran, i doubt it.

That Quicksilver/Red leather with a 6-speed and 17's is 1 of 52 made in that configuration for 2006...pretty rare, but I doubt that will matter in 20 years anyway.
