Pittsburgh Crew < You
YEs, GM will be bringing the "team" out. They were @ the Peru tour in full team force, but they've given up on the Cobalt and are running 2 Solstices ( solsti ?? ). One is a base model with the Z0K ( Club sport ) package ( I think ) and the other is a GXP that has the "cheater" Z0K package on it.
That package wasn't originally available on 07s but they did it midyear without telling anyone. Long story....
Anyway....
As far as I know, Sam is still running the Shelby. I know he bought his own regular GT now, but not sure it's ready to go yet.
Nice size of SCR people there this year....
Me, Dan , Jeff, Justin, Chris Carlise, Nick Flynn & manfred, Randy Pearson, Ricky Shank, Nick Jackson, and a few others I know I'm forgetting.
My cousin and a bunch of Suby guys will be there.... have fun.

If I had the cash, I'd be reaaaaaaally tempted to fly down to my dad's and lend some moral support for you guys. He lives MAYBE 45 minutes from Heartland Park.
I know some are going from CPR and a few I know from NEPA, but I can't remember who all is going. I know Ron in the Grand Sport Corvette is going, I don't know who else.

With all the OT I've bee doing ( and a raise as well ) I have been socking all kinds of cash away. I'm splitting a room with Randy Pearson ( who is selling his S2000 and buying an 08 C6 ), and between that and everything else, I've got all kinds of $$$ to go and play out there...
After Nats... there might be a purchase over the winter for a better car. Not sure yet what.. so don't ask.
Ron Dodds?? I met him back during Evo school. VERY cool guy and a beautiful car as well.

LOL wish I had tons of money to stock away. But, I found an opportunity for a second job. So maybe I can bring in a little bit of fun money for the two of us.
I read an article around here somewhere about that.....i cant wait to see better pics of it. The only bad thing is it will be ubber expensive. "Much, much higher than the price of a Z06" i think is what was said...
Sorry, not this time. 1st week of regular season football.

I've heard the rumblings about names for the Uber-Vette... I'll wait to see one before I believe a name.
ZR-1 is a good lineage to follow since it was touted as the "King of the Hill" back in 1990.
I found a Car & Driver in my garage with the 1st road test of the 1990 ZR-1 this weekend.
First ZR-1 back in the 70's....
again in the early 90's, and now in the late 2000's... good timing in deed.

rumored 0-60 2.7s times, from the mule cars, which are essentially prototype C7 chassis, on a C6 body.
The C7 ZR1 is supposed to be using very light weight aluminums, and a full carbon fibre body.
Estimate price is $115,000 but for Enzo killer performance, I think it's worth it. We'll see if those #'s remain true.
I'm betting that the "Zora's Racer" will remain King of the Hill.
For the first time in for as long as I can remember, no work on Sat.
So I'm feeling PBs and MP tomorrow...or is MP a no go cause of po po?
Maybe PRP? Sport compact shootout. $20. Gates open @ 5:30.

theres rumors of the mule cars, dynoing at 655hp at the tires, when its rated at 650hp at the fly.

seeing as people were paying nearly 100K for Z06's when they came out, i can see people nuts enough to pay $140K for the KOTH car... ( that's after the dealers "market adjustment" )
Time will tell, and I refuse to get into pissing match about details until I see proof.
Speaking of details.... Did Jay every get that new motor for the GTO??
I never see him around anymore ( or anyone else for that matter )
There will be a few of us at pittsburgh raceway tonight.
Come on out, should be some badass cars there as it is the last sport compact night of the season.
Also trying to get my bud out there with his 600hp nissan, this thing is something to see!
See ya.

Well, from the gist of things, I've heard that this car is going to be a bridge bewteen the 6th and 7th gen cars. ALOT of powertrain bits, suspension and tech goodies are supposed to make their way into this car before the 7th gen cars come out.

Looking at heads now, either between AFR 225's, or Stage 3 L92's.
Then theres the D1SC which won't be purchased till Feb.
9.25:1 CR, 21psi, should make for a fun street car
