Yep, the Fairlady name was badged on the "z" cars back in the day only in the JDM models.
They didn't feel it was "macho" enough for the US consumer, so they started with the alpha-numeric thing since it worked so well with Euro cars over here.

pittsburghracewaypark.com and cost is usually $20, i wont be there until the 28th though.
So I go to plug in my new iPhone to iTunes to activate it and use it. I get a message saying can not use with 64bit Vista. My laptop runs 64 bit as well. So ATM I got a $400 shiny brick.
I'm probably a no go on PRP. More important things to do tomorrow. If it were cheaper to watch, I might go, but can't justify the $7. So tomorrow's probably car wash day for me. We'll see what I'm feelin like in the morning though.
I'll be cleaning both house stuff, and car stuff tomorrow. Probably clean the garage a bit as well. I really should get to Sears and get an exchange on my torque wrench as well.
Hi. Still alive. Busy as hell w/ work and school. Good news is I spent a week out at Baldwin HS, and ended up teaching 6 lessons. Went really well.
All right...so lemme begin by saying I never hype much of anything, cause I don't wanna let people down
Like the Bodies exhibit? It's cool as hell, but I wouldn't hype it much.
However...have any of you been to a midnight Floyd laser show at the Science Center? I went years ago, but went over for the first time last Friday, since they installed a multi-million dollar computer projector (so now instead of just seeing dots, you can go visit places). So, if you've gone, have you gone w/ in the last few months?
Then I went Saturday, and last night...dunno if I'll go tonight though.
I'm hyping this show. I can't even describe how badass an experience it is, even sober
and even if you're not a huge Floyd fan. Just to see the laser/projection show is something else. All you engineering and comp people will probably need to change your pants. Honestly.
Oh...and a planetarium full of fog + expensive ass laser thingy = whoa. Sound system's amazing, too. They switch up between The Wall, Dark Side, Wish You Were Here, and just a mix. Dark Side + zipping around the planets = whoa. And w/ the projection system, they can take ya into the body and other crazy crap, all around the bloodstream. I was getting vertigo hardcore.
They don't advertise the show much, because they really don't need the money. Thanks Mr. Carnegie...so no more than a hundred people show up. And the laserist has been doing it for years, so he actually makes each show up, like a DJ or something.
So...anyway....best part is, I can get five people in, per show, for free. Cost is usually $8. So if anyone wants to plan for some weekend, lemme know. You'll probably want to go back.

Better than racing in a straight line? Lots
Better than killing cones? Not a whole lot
Better than racing through the twisties? Nothing that I can think of.
Wes and I will DEFINITELY take you up on that. Was going to take him for his birthday, but between time and money shortages we never ended up going.
Not that I know of. Wes and I just grabbed some food from Monroeville. Seems kind of dead out. I got the stare-down from a Monroeville cop earlier. Matched my speed the WHOLE way down William Penn and just GLARED at me like he was waiting for me to **** up so he could flick the lights on, meantime there's a ballsy guy in an F-150 behind him tailgating the hell out of him, even high beamed THE COP to try and get him to move and the cop never once even looked at him. Finally when we hit the line at Wilkins, he did a U-ey and went back where he belongs.
