Track will be open for 6 hours and it is going to be prepped the whole way down the track. $20 deposit and we will see how many come for the total cost.

LOL you guys jumped the gun a little. I don't like posting rentals on other sites without the admins ok in case they are planning something themselves around the same date.

...so I just PMed the admin here today to see if it was ok to post the rental as a GTO and Cobalt SS event. I do already have one Cobalt SS and Z06 signed up. ...so yes Z06s are welcome.

I'm talking him into coming over to play gh3 earlier this time.

Dan doesn't seem to want to call me and let me know if he is bringing the engines over as planned so its looking like a GH3 day for me followed by cosmic bowling. My kinda day off.

just installed a JBP CAI that I bought from a guy on here, animalchin. he traded in his 2.0 and is parting out. he's got some good deals in case anyone is looking. here's some info i cut from his FS thread.

Here's the link to the FS thread: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/parts-66/ss-sc-parts-sale-90651/
if you're interested in any of the above just give him a call. it's the best way to get a hold of him.

Any one in the Pittsburgh area interested in a 2.5inch magnaflow cat-back exhaust. I got a spare one laying around... only has like 5k miles on it. And has been high temp coated... PM me for details.

in other news, i installed that cai on saturday and all was good, no CEL. so sunday i drove up to franklin and back and guess what. that pesky CEL popped on while i was heading on 279N. just out of nowhere the SOB turned on. so i got on with onstar and they're saying it's to do with my fuel injection system. i figured i had put the gas cap on wrong cuz i had just filled up. no dice. so i throw a bottle of fuel injection cleaner in there and have just about ran that tank dry but still that damn light is on. i don't have OBDII scanner so now i gotta run down to the shop to have them hook it up. what a PITA! it's weird cuz i haven't noticed a lag in performance.

I miss the old days of OBDI. I remember we used to stick a fork in the ports and it'd flash the code out on the dash. Ah those were the days.

i'm guessing it might dealing with a vacuum leak. i installed the make shift catch can (air compressor mini air filter) on the vacuum hose that runs from the cai to the block and supposedly the filter used for the catch can isn't always a good seal around the drain valve so i may have to put in place a bolt and o ring to seal it better. otherwise i may have to check on the MAF to make sure it's still good.
