Tried straight line racing and still hated it. Not for me, sorry. I don't really care about perfecting my clutch/gas technique.

I'm not an auto-xer. I prefer the real race track.

you definitely use the wheel when you shift into third and your looking at the wall beside you.

So we should do some realy big get-together sometime when spring breaks and there's no more of this winter ****. Get everyone together and get pics of the line of cars. That'd be great. My girl got her Cobalt at the end of summer, so she missed all that ****. We should do something though for sure.

Alicia you should get the pics up of both meets up at Quaker Steak and Lube. Those were decent sized meets. Im pretty sure you were the one with all the pics. I think the first one we had like 24-29 Cobalts/Redlines? Something like that. I think the first one was bigger. Highlights of that one would be telling the cop that it was coincidence that we all had the same car, getting from Robinson to downtown in like 5 minutes, 20 plus superchargers in the tunnels at 1 time, and the 100 mph pwnage you put on me while weaving in and out of cars on the parkway

You recall incorrectly. We had 19 cars total I belive.

Haha, peer pressure.

12 in the picture, we had 19 total though cause we had Shaun's Mach1 and a couple of the Cobalt people left early. cause I remember we had 19 cars and 22 people.

Any of you Ecotec guru's know anything about the cam profile on the '08 2.2's? I read somewhere that it was supposedly different from previous years, and on mine I'd swear the powerband is slightly different. Seems like it comes in just a hair later than my blue one did and pulls harder when it does...

Cam profile changed in 07. I don't remember the specs but they made it very slightly milder.

Wasn't aware that a 2.2 had a powerband? I will wait for Al's professional response.
