Well.. just got home from the Cobalts @ Mid_Ohio event...

WOW... waht a great time... met some really nice owners... some GREAT people @ GMPD, GM, The various racing teams ( thanks Georgian bay! ) and GM's Cobalt/HHR marketing guy...

Got to see that new gauge pillar jewel... the configurable display... very cool..
They had that car there with a possible wheel color option... think competition gray on the Corvettes... they have been tinkering with various shades, so they're not sure what color will be like...

Great food... great free gear... a BLAST to hang out and talk to everyone involved... I even got onto the pitlane for the opening of the race.. grid row #1

I really wanted to go but GM Nationals were incredible

 

Awwww. I wish I would have gone, but we had a get together for my cousin's b-day today. Given everything she's been through with the death of our grandfather plus the deaths of two of her close friends in the last week and a half, I felt like it was more important to go be there for her than make the trek out to Ohio.

 

Matt... I saw not one GTO there... maybe they were there Satruday for the Rolex race, since the GTO-R still races...


Alicia... it was alot of fun... got some new connections to exploit as well... lol

 

YEah they were there Saturday.... with VIP treatment, and they did a parade lap.

Didnt realize they were 2 seperate races.

 

That was the main reason I wanted to go. Oh well, family's more important...though I got one helluva workout. Teaching a 15 year old girl how to drive a stick, which went really well actually. Then teaching an 8 year old how to swim, which did NOT go so well, but at least he didn't drown. Then ran 5 1/2 miles with a couple of em. I was feeling OK last night, woke up this morning and I just plain HURT.
